I have a legacy Sprint postpaid account with 5 lines (wife and friends) and unlimited data. Does anyone know if my SSN as the primary line holder is the only one associated with the account? If that is the case, could my wife or friends port out to T-Mobile as per the wiki and then immediately port back into the free 1-year plan? Would their phones be flagged? Thanks.

Depends on your budget and type of phone. The boost moto g6 play is highly touted here. Its $79 at most Walmarts. Search SD for a separate thread on this phone. Also available from Boost mobile. Separate thread for that as well.

Anyone who joined after July 12, 2018, is there any throttle besides on selected Video, Music and Gaming websites. Like suppose I want to download email attachments from GMail. Also, how much speeds you getting on Speedtest.net? Thanks :-)

yes should only be your SSN and yes anyone of those could port out and sign up for this plan. If you go the digital sim route, you could even do one phone at a time and then re-use the same digital sim number. When all 5 have ported out, your account will then be closed.

also be advised that this plan has no native hotspot capability.

No other throttle that i know of and dl speeds are very dependent on location and type of phone. Of course the newer phones have better modems are are more capable of pulling in the best signal. Are you near a major metro area?

For example, with my LG g6, on the 11th floor of my Canada hotel overlooking Niagara falls, im getting 20-30mbps speeds connected to a sprint tower. If i go street level or inland
a bit, i loose that tower and start roaming on the rogers network in Canada which gets me about .10mbps speeds. Just enough to turn pages here in SD.

New Orleans, LA. I will use iPhone SE. SpeedSmart app says average Speed Tests of Sprint is faster than 4 other carriers in my area

Awesome, thanks. Our current plan doesn't have hotspot either. Everyone is good to use the same Sprint phones when they port back in?

ETA: If/when my wife ported back in, as the primary account holder with a new SSN, would she be able to add my line to hers immediately or would I have to wait 45 days?

anyone recently submitted an unlock request for the moto g6 play? I submitted one on July 30 at around 12PM PST and was told that my unlock would go through within 48 hours but it still seems to be locked. I called Sprint CS asking for an unlock again and they already noticed my submission for an unlock request that was made on the 30th. They told me to check again by the end of the day or tomorrow.

I think you know but there is a criminal scam involving porting numbers away from the true owner in order to then access the person's bank accounts by intercepting authentication sms's. Certainly this is rare and most likely NOT the case here, but I just wanted to be sure you are aware. Some variant happened to one poster here. It is also possible that carriers may cover this up in some cases though I hope not. I have posted that I would not port an important number via a TMobile sim sold by an unknown third party seller, and probably not through TMobile at all.
OMG you weren't joking about the difficulty in getting number porting problems resolved. Sprint insisted that t-mobile never requested my number be ported. They called them with me on the line, then after getting lost a few times, L3 number transfer support at t-mobile said they would put out a broadcast to all carriers stating that they own the line now, and then they called Sprint with me on the line to verify that they acknowledged the number was ported, and that the Sprint account would get canceled. Sprint said they would do a "clean up" of the number within 24 hours. This whole thing took many hours over a few days.

Has anyone recently had success porting google voice? For me Sprint keeps telling me that the information I gave does not match the google account. I am wondering if they should leave the SSN field /address fields blank...

Same phone same sim. Yes, no waiting. Just be sure to use the phone number in the wiki.

Just change the PIN on GV and give the updated one to Sprint.

Make sure you've paid the $3 too.

That's the easy way.

The rest does not matter.
