The reps want the commission or sales incentive. That is higher than the interest and is actually a cost to Sprint. That's what they care about. But yeah it comes back to management ultimately. They count on most people not cancelling the insurance.

It is best to cancel it same day so it does not appear on your bill. The sales reps tell you to wait a day so they get the commission.
Why can't I just say no to the reps?

You can but some have reported they were unable to complete signup if TEP refused. Easiest to go into account and cancel it next day

That's pretty strong arm on their part. I might ask them to get one of their supervisors on the line to make sure I understand what they are demanding. Will see how we go

was successful in signing up for the plan with a boost g6 play and google voice # thanks to this wiki ^^
The porting is still pending so hopefully that wont be an issue. If the google number successfully ports to sprint do i get a new google voice number automatically?
Edit: For the google voice port delay << used the sprint port dept # 866-437-1818 worked ezpz. Rep mention they had to "remove a conflict" of some sort. Might be unique to me but all good now.

Pretty sure today will start the $60 billing. A chat rep should be able to confirm. Then it's in writing. They can't lie
I have recorded phone calls and interaction ID #'s of flat out lies by Sprint representatives in the Phillipines, most recently stating that my promo end date was extended to 9/30/19 on all 3 of my lines due to porting in a line on 7/27/18. They are lying counting on the fact that the vast majority don't have time to go to court, and submit a chat conversation as evidence, right?

I said no and the rep acknowledged my response, but he added the insurance anyway. I didn't think to check and didn't find out until my first bill was issued.

im glad u read the wiki and found it useful

lots of popele put lots of efort in maintaining the wiki so the same questions do not get asked 1000s times over

be sure to read about how to make the Google Voicce port practically instant, rather than wit 3 days

once ur GV # is ported, u do not believe u will get another automatically

IIRC, u can get another GV number and since u do not have a GV at that point, the 2nd GV number will be free

The rep I talked to also said that the higher charges wouldn't kick in until my next billing period. I'm currently on a billing period that ends on August 13th, and my agreement was up on July 31. Also, my online account shows that my next bill for August 14th will be the usual taxes and fees, not the increased charges. So, this seems to verify what the rep said. However, we all know things can change, so there is a risk still.
I show something similar ($0 of recent charges and no charge for "plans/equipment" under "Activity Since July 21", but isn't your next bill for August 14th for service ending mid-July?

yup...its sad, but there is no accountability with S reps...

and they know that..so many times they do what they want

a good idea someone mentioned is say u already have insurance with sqare trade...hope there is some decency in the rep and they wil not add it

BTW...i have delt w the reps in philipines with that number in wiki..and have never had issues the 3-4times i had to talk to them over the last 15 or so months

I have experienced very little flat out lying. More common is mis- communication or confusion or ignorance, or reading from a script.
In fact I have had helpful, polite support throughout Sprint. Seems to me most reps are trying to do their job(s).
Court? You are kidding right?

No the new charges on 7/21 statement due 8/14 are for service from 7/22-8/21.
Sprint postpaid bills in advance and like a credit card(reason sprint requires credit check) the amount isn't actually due for about 23 days. This is why you get a statement and bill generated immediately(takes about 3 days to actually show up in account) when you sign up for service.
You should port out before 8/21 before next statement generates as it will not have promo rate anymore.
Don't listen to what reps told you you go by date listed in your account under manage plan/ see details.
I would not contact Sprint and complain too much or risk getting C&D letter where you will be done with Sprint forever.

You can, and I have, I think, in all cases but there are a lot of fine gentle people out there who find confrontation too stressful, so I just give people the option for their tranquility for those who prefer it.

Actually I do not really even argue. I just state some facts to them. But not everyone has the experience to be able to do that calmly without stress.
