That's pretty strong arm on their part. I might ask them to get one of their supervisors on the line to make sure I understand what they are demanding. Will see how we go
Perfect!
Actually they cave quite easily I have found.

No the new charges on 7/21 statement due 8/14 are for service from 7/22-8/21.
Sprint postpaid bills in advance and like a credit card(reason sprint requires credit check) the amount isn't actually due for about 23 days. This is why you get a statement and bill generated immediately(takes about 3 days to actually show up in account) when you sign up for service.
You should port out before 8/21 before next statement generates as it will have not have promo rate anymore.
Don't listen to what reps told you you go by date listed in your account under manage plan/ see details.
I would not contact Sprint and complain too much or risk getting C&D letter where you will be done with Sprint forever.
Does yours not say "Savings until 7/31/18; then $60/mo. for line 1, $40/mo. for line 2 and $30/mo./line for lines 3-5 with AutoPay." under manage plan/see details? Mine does...

And how can payment be due on 8/14 for service until 8/21 when this is postpaid???

Sprint's online account management is infuriating. I'm trying to activate a Boost Moto G6 Play on a current line (expires 9/30) and trying to activate a new device or SIM throws an error no matter the device or SIM card. And I don't see a chat icon so I can't even chat. Ugh.

Billing in advance is prepaid service.

Sprint bills at the end of a service period hence the credit check.

Do you want to replace an existing phone using an imei swap?

If so you go go to that existing phone, click activate, and enter the imei and iccid. If you do not have the imei we can tell you how to get it from the meid (go to swappa and enter the meid).

Maybe you did this but I am just checking.

If you want to add it as an added line, you have to call the TeleSales number and port in a number with it.

Thanks for the reply. I am trying to replace an existing phone using an imei swap with a new ICCID. I have the IMEI and ICCID on the new phone.

When I go through the dashboard to Manage Devices, I click "Activate a Device." This shows me a screen with my current device in a column on the left that says "Current Device to Deactivate" and on the right there is a column that says "New device to activate." In the column on the right there is information filled in from my old device (a Moto G5 Plus) and then options to select "Use a new SIM," "Reuse my SIM card from my current device," and then "Enter a device code." I am not given the option to enter an entirely new device on this screen and entering a new SIM ICCID throws and error. I have tried several SIMs. I was able to switch from the G5 Plus to a Pixel about a month and a half ago by using the same SIM card option. I can also select inactive devices on my account.

I have tried entering either a new SIM ICCID or a new IMEI, but both options errored out.

I also never see a chat icon, so I'm unable to chat to try to fix this.

It looks like wifi calling is a no go for new accounts. I just signed up for a line yesterday and could not get Wifi calling set up. No matter what I did, I got "problem loading management page" when I tried to turn it on. Finally got someone from Sprint to get to the root of the problem. They said:
  • So I've looked into your account and I see that you're on the Unlimited Bring Your Own Device Plan. This plan doesn't include the wifi calling feature and this is why you can't enable it.

You enter the new device under Enter a Device Code.

Are you doing that?

The reason it does not include it is that your phone does not support it on Sprint, not anything to do with the new plan.

What phone is it?

Paying for service in advance is prepaid. Paying for service after service is postpaid. You are receiving service from 7/22-8/13 before paying for it on 8/14 is post paying. The service from 8/14-8/21 you are actually pre paying for though.
Now I'm unsure since rate changed on 8/1 will they add the higher rate as an additional charge after the fact. They do this sometimes when you would have something like international calls used during the billing cycle.
If I was to cancel service on 8/20. My final statement generated on 8/22 will be $0 in normal circumstances where rate wasn't changing during cycle.

I tried it using both the MEID and IMEI variants from the G6 Play and then a while back on the Pixel. Both times got errors. I tried the Sprint portal through Internet Explorer and finally got a chat window and they were able to activate it there. No worries! Boost G6 Play activated just fine!

Well people are reporting that Wifi Calling is working on the new Moto phones and I am pretty sure many of them are just signing up now.

But let's wait for someone who signed up recently on any phone to confirm that wifi calling is working for them.
