Just wanted to update that the Boost Moto G6 Play still activates just fine on Sprint. Just finished activating one by calling the customer service number, only took a few minutes.

Hodaddy, can you post how to port online? I would be happy to use my rudimentary reading skills on your post. Or can you or somebody else add it to the wiki, which says to call?
This is the link from within a link inside the wiki. https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/prepaid/bring-your-own-device?irgwc=1&cmpid=WTR_AF_189491_Slickdeals_LLC&clickid=3STU48yaPVCb2IvzTGQzmzShUkjXc4zZrQISWA0&iradid=189491&irpid=10451&ircid=3290&sharedid=&aam=aam_uuid&invoca=invoca_experience&irmpname=Slickdeals_LLC&group=TMDesktop.

Thanks for posting it, and, to hopefully help out while you travelling, here it is repeated in immediately clickable form in case anyone has trouble (as I needed to copy and paste your original before it worked, which may depend on browser).

Hello, I did the port online, the instructions in this box is very detailed. It was not difficult at all and took about a few hours, it could have been less but I realized I made a mistake and NET10's customer service helped me correct it.

As soon as I was on NET10's network, my line and phone showed up as eligible for Sprint again. Make sure to go to NET10byop.com and check if your phone is compatible. Hope this helps.
Hey Awesome BennyG92, do you remember what is account number, was it IMEI/SIM Card number and what was port out number, was it 0000 or did you set up something else? Thanks

"Account # is NOT the Phone Number – It is the MEID or IMEI serial number of the phone (If you're using a NET10 branded phone) Or, if your are using a BYOP SIM Card, it will be the last 15 digits of your SIM Card number."

I changed the passcode to something different that I'll temember.

If you're using the eBay link in my previous post, they're gonna ask you to set up a pin when you first sign up for net10 but you can leave it as 0000 if you want. When are ready to port out, you will use the last 15 digits of the SIM card as your account number.

I do not disagree that that would be the surest route. I had that in mind as step 2 after giving the standard route a chance at least for the sake of form, but if the poster wants the surest fastest response, yes he/she can go right to it.

Why can't the person just cancel the plan under the 14 day money back satisfaction guarantee as I suggested and start over? Account services can do that and it should be routine. That's what I assume Account Services would do. You might have to suggest it to them, which is why I put it in my post. It would be necessary to deal with Account Services to cancel in that manner, which is what I suggested. I do not see why that would require opening a ticket to investigate the matter first. But admittedly you would need to be fairly articulate.

I believe SOME posters have had this corrected previously without going to Marci. But you are right that the best raw-self-interest route is direct to Marci. I try to save that for when it has been proved necessary.

Anyway I can provide the contact info:

Oh wait, so now you have confirmed you're being charged the new rate? You were told how to re up for another year. It is very clearly spelled out in the wiki. You were told to confirm your rates through billing chat or call. You claim you were lied to by reps in the phillipines ( we all know that the reps will say whatever they please) and you're going to try to get Marci to extend your plan til sept. of 19? laugh out loud You better hope she has some sympathy for your story. Please, please let us know how this works out for you.

Oh, AND you were told by a rep in the phillipines that your plan ends on 7-31-18! nod

A number that you don't want to lose would have to be ported in, either now or later by adding a second line to your account. Does that answer your Q?

One way or another, yes.

See the discussIon here just yesterday or the day before for different ways. It was a long discussion involving multiple people so let's not do it over.

Just a business day of two, but in general Sprint may not compensate subscribers for erroneous verbal advice given by sales reps, especially where there is no proof of what was said within Sprint's business records, and where they were not the appropriate staff for handling that type of issue. All questions related to plan end dates, cancellations, etc should be made to Account Services at 888-211-4727, not to Customer Service or to TeleSales. Account Services are the ones who can reliably calculate plan end dates for an individual account, because they have to do that all the time in negotiating customer retention.

Nevertheless I would certainly give Marci a try.

It is very unlikely they would extend the plan though, beyond the published end date and that is stated right on your DashBoard.

The most they would do is refund your charges up to the point where you became aware that your free plan had expired.

It is a general principle that you should not leave the meter running, incurring additional costs, once a matter comes into dispute, where you aware that you may lose, so as others suggest, I would port out now and cut off your exposure to possible further losses, and you can still try for reimbursement afterward.

Off topic, we have been telling people all along to stop relying on TeleSales for anything other than signing up and adding lines. We have been proved right time and time again on all of technical issues and plan end date questions and plan provisions where TeleSales was wrong. TeleSales gets plan end dates correct at most half of then time. They just do not know or care that much about anything excely sales. This is wrong, but not uncommon in the industry. You well get far better advice right here than from TeleSales.

I don't know for a fact that I am being charged a new rate. I asked for and received email confirmation that I am still on BYOD Free.

Thank you for the wiki, it's really helpful. I am an SD'er though, and I'm going to do what's best for my family.

You were told to confirm your rates through billing chat or call.

Never found chat useful for anything ever, and I did ask via call, but...

You claim you were lied to by reps in the phillipines ( we all know that the reps will say whatever they please)

why did you tell me to call when reps will say whatever they please???

Not a question of sympathy. Question of a company honoring its word. If reps say whatever they please, then that is a major issue for a Senior VP of Customer Management.
