is sprint blocking phones just disconnected from the free LTE plan? I got moto g4 play, used on that plan for a year now disconnected. However, when I checked to join the plan, the IMEI is ineligible.
Test in Tello or Ting checkers for insights as to what is happening. Are they affected too or not?

You say "disconnected". How did you disconnect them? If they are still listed on Sprint, that may be the problem.

Some people on Sprint subreddit reported after update they are getting T-Mobile LTE Roaming, one person showed LTE Band Priorty List on their S8 - https://imgur.com/a/kxkeKYZ

Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/c...has_begun/
I have those bands now also on my S8+

It was scheduled to be rolled out so that is as expected. It will count as unlimited extended in Sprint and not count against your roaming quota.

Next month VoLTE starts rolling out in some areas.

MOTO E4 WORKS TOO

Well team I just successfully opened my first free plan with the Boost Moto E4 I got for $31.99 on the recent Boost sale.

Did all activation before opening the box. Took a while to get the woman to input everything and go thru credit check etc but it all seemed to work without any hiccups. I had purchased a T-Mobile number from Ebay for this purpose. She asked if my TMobile address was same as my current (I said Yes but I don't think it matters because it was Prepay TMobile) and she was hesitant because the code that the Ebay seller gave was 6 digits and she thought most security codes were 4, but it worked.

She never challenged me on the phone. She asked me what phone I was going to activate and I said a Sprint Moto E4. Later in the convo I gave her the MEID and ICCID etc.

On the Insurance, she NEVER asked me if I wanted it. At the end when she was rattling off all the terms and conditions she mentioned the TEP that cost $9.00 and I stopped her and said "what's that" and she said it was insurance and was automatically applied since my phone is eligible. I said can I cancel it now and she said it was automatic but as soon as I get my online account I can go cancel. So I didn't press the issue because I wanted to make sure the account got activated. An hour later I set up the online account and then clicked to cancel the insurance.

Everything seems to work - voice, text, data.

I haven't looked closely at the phone yet but there seems to be a sh*t-ton of bloatware, including various trials of stuff that then want to convert into monthly charges. I will need to scrub that stuff away before handing this phone over to son.

Anyway just wanted to let the cheapskates out there know that they can activate on E4s if they want too (yes, I know, the g6 is likely a much better phone for the price, but in my case I wanted the 11yr old to not have a bigger better phone than the 14yr old who also has an E4, and I wanted to use a cheap phone). I will now look to flip the g6s on Ebay, now that I know the E4 worked

Just wanted to update and tell you that net10 must have changed their port out details because the account number is your phone's IMEI/MEID. Just to be sure and correct, I would contact their customer service first to get the account number and pin.
Thank you! The net10 card from ebay was just delivered today, but we will probably wait to do the port from Tello next week. I appreciate the heads up! Can't rep you again today, but will do so soon.

I just checked and it is A1662. Lacking band 41 is really that important? I assume that's why my coverage in my neighborhood and home is s***.
Idk if this helps, but, I've got an unlocked Verizon iphone 7 that I had on the Sprint network. Their were many places that I had only 3g coverage, so of course, this means that lte wasn't in range in those places. With that said, I never lost coverage. I know that phones with the Qualcom modems have some 2g/3g bands that gsm provided phones don't have. I hope you have better luck. Maybe a magic box would help. I've heard Sprint was giving some away.

I called to cancel my account. Maybe the phone is still listed on sprint. Is there a way to remove it? Just tried with tello and it says my phone still active with another provider.

thanks

Swap it off or port it out.

Cancel does not release the phones until the end of the billing cycle. We have discussed that here a number of times.

They are supposed to make that clear when you cancel.

It is better to port out or swap to get a quick release of the phone.

They are free (but out of stock at the moment) subject to prior consultation with tech. support for their approval to be sure it would help.

As I posted, the Magic Box will not help in the slightest for someone whose phone lacks band 41 or will not even be used in any way. It acts as a band 41 mini-tower and cannot communicate with the phone on ANY OTHER BAND than band 41.

Shouldn't Sprint be extending the current phase past 7/31/19 since it is less than one year now?

does anyone have a screenshot of the plan details which included the 10GB hotspot? I signed up on July15th and the website was still showing the hotspot as an included feature. I opened a support case with sprint and they are saying they can add it if I can provide a screenshot. Thanks in Advance
