OK don't worry it will be correct once you can see it. The email notices are always wrong.

As the port, go to the following link

https://shop2.sprint.com/en/wlnp/check.shtml
'
Also Call: 866-437-1818 which is the port dept so you do not have to deal with non-technical staff.

They may be closing soon now though for the night.

Set up your account online and you can control the port yourself and correct it online at that link.

You have to deal with this from the Sprint side one way or another. That is the protocol.
you saved my day. On call with Sprint and they are fixing the port issue now

Is there a credit showing in your online Sprint account in the new billing cycle?
If not you need to do another billing chat.
Got the email today my bill is available to view and there is a credit of $10.10 instead of $15.90 I paid last month. Chat said I have to pay $2.90 surcharges, is that right? And it won't be credited back to my Visa, just stay in my account for those surcharges every month.

I thought I don't have to pay anything for Free for a year.

Yeah those numbers are right (see the wiki or the top of the thread for admin. fees, taxes etc.).

It is $5 a month plus taxes and admin fees less $5 autopay credit.

So it works out to around $5 a month per line.

So it all seems dead on right!

You'll run through the credit next month and the month after.

I called 1-877-778-2107 to port in to T-Mobile. It says I need to hold for two hours to get connected to a live representative. Is it normal?

How could you think that? I mean reading a mere half of one percent of this year long thread (or the wiki) is very clear.

I signed up in 8/2017 and today received bill for $65+ with tax, with plan name as: "Unlimited Freedom MRC".
I thought free plan has been extended longer time into next year. Has anyone else had similar experience?

Sorry this thread is too long and can't find a way to search inside threads using SD app.

Thanks in advance.

Nope, your date depends on when you signed up, if you signed up on June/July 2017, you probably had expiration date of 7/31/2018, after which you will be charged full price which happened. Extended deal is like if I signup today as new member, I will get free year till 9/30/2019.

You must cancel (Port out ) before year is up to avoid paying regular price.
So Port out now. Your final bill will be prorated.
If you have a family member who wants to sign up with their SS # you may port your number back into the new account. Good luck
Edit: See post below. No prorating.

You sure, I've ported out and closed 2 accounts during final billing cycle and did not get any proration. One account was paid service and one was free account(free so nothing to prorate).

No I am not sure. Other services have been prorated so I made an assumption. Thanks I will edit.

Quick question, I signed up for the free year promo in mid June and got a bill on July 6 for $3.66 charging me for the dates June 13-June 13. My last bill on August 6 was for $3.66 for the dates June 13 to July 13. So my question is why was I initially charged $3.66 on July 6 if my first bill just came in now?

Thank you. This is a dummy number only for internet usage. I will cancel it today and sign up another new free line in a week, if it works out - I don't care if this number is lost.

Many thanks.

No problem. Here is from Sprint Terms and conditions.

How do I terminate services? If you are thinking about cancelling your Service with Sprint, please call us or visit a Sprint store so that we can try to change your mind! If we are unable to change your mind, you can terminate Services by calling us and requesting that we deactivate all Services, or by porting your number to another carrier. You are responsible for all charges billed or incurred prior to deactivating your Service. If Services are terminated before the end of your invoicing cycle, we won't prorate charges to the date of termination and you won't receive a credit or refund for any unused Services.

Sprint bills for service in advance. Those 7/6 and 8/6 dates are not bills they are date of payment(thru autopay). First bill on 6/13(bills usually won't show in account for 4 days) is for service 6-13 to 7-12 due on 7/6. Next bill on 7/13 is for service 7/13 to 8/12 due on 8/6.
Sprint dashboard is a little confusing because it says charges for 6/13-7/12 but includes charge next month's service(7/13-8-12).

I'm confused lol. 2 days ago my credit card was charged $3.66 for a statement of service from June 13 to July 14.
