This thread really needs a hinny -- a user from the old RingPlus days who was unhesitating in flinging monkey poop at any user who dared to re-ask an FAQ question. Unfortunately, I don't read this thread religiously enough, nor am I mean-spirited enough to provide that service. Nobody is trying to be an "asshat troll" or show "tude" in answering questions. It's just that at 23K+ posts, there is a 99.999% chance that any question you might have has probably already been answered (multiple times). The high post volume is exacerbated by two things.

1) The OP abandoned thread shortly after posting. Essential aspects of the deal have changed and are documented in the wiki which, unfortunately, most people never read. Moderators have the power to edit the OP but have so far shown zero willingness to do so. Attempts to contact OP have so far been unsuccessful.

2) Well-intentioned, experienced users keep spoon feeding answers when the correct answers really should be "Read wiki" and "search thread."
good summary

btw...that user u mentioned has made a appearance in this thread
but is quite clueless him/herself on this deal
is funny how that users attitude changes when they are trying to get information themelves

to summarize:

most all are here to help.
the wiki, while not 100% accurate is quite informative.
myself and many other users have tried to keep it as accurate as possible

is a shame very few will take the time effort to read it first..then ask questions if still unclear
lots of good knowledgeable people here to help,,but first..try to help urself is my 2c

my plan.

Activate a line with unlocked Samsung S8 (also already have sprint SIM)

Can I move SIM to unlocked iPhone SE? or do I have to "call" to "Update" IMEI to use it on iPhone SE?

TIA
Call or chat.ostly painless. Once any phone has been swapped you can alternate handsets online

Will this work with my telescope? I currently have it connected via Ham Radio, but could use a speed boost to see further away.

They put two of his 5 lines on another plan, then spent about 7 months in Sprint Hell trying to get their asinine customer "service" to acknowledge and fix it. The last thing you want to do is stop paying your bill, they have you by the balls as they possess your phone number. So you pay and pay as they screw off, figuring eventually they will correct it. Took threats of a lawsuit to their Executive Team to even look at the issue.

IF you get lucky and get someone at their outsourced Filipino customer service who has the intelligence, training, power, and willingness to help and actually follow through to full resolution, maybe you get it fixed without 50 hours of BS and incredible stress and expense. But that has not been our experience. And the Executive Team has gone WAY downhill in quality since a decade ago, seems to be kids right out of college with bad attitudes.
thanks 4 update.
while i get it that it is hard to list all details of the steps taken...
my first impression is that it should not have taken that long
and 2nd there is some irresponsibility on ur fried that it took so long to fix.

#1. did they call correct numbers?

b) by ~2nd month of it not being fixed, one simple solution is to port out the numbers on wrong plan into tmobile....and simply port back into the plan that had 3 lines correctly set up

(details in wiki)

I was involves from the start with it so can verify all possible normal steps taken, all correct numbers called, etc. finally found someone at one of their call centers that did some deep research and said "oh, they tried porting in these numbers, had trouble with two of them so just put them into this other (expensive) plan because [reasons] and walked away figuring someone else should fix it." This guy "took ownership" and swore he'd get to the bottom of fixing it after this 3-hour call. Last we heard from him.

This is ALL on Sprint- which is the point. Their systems, their people, their screwup. Only option we had was to not use Sprint, but by the time we realized that we'd been soaked for half a thousand dollars.

The lines were added gradually. And you often don't realize how recalcitrant a company is at fixing their screwups until a lot of back and forth, you keep having hope the obvious will be obvious and acted upon by them. Changing plans is not so easy with several older people.

RaphyI just ported via phone call and they still offered the 10GB free hotspot
It doesn't go by when you port in,. It goes by when you open the account in the first place.

If you did just open it, what makes you think you have the 10 GB hotspot?

Check DashBoard / Manage Plan/ See Details.

For future reference, Sprint has a 14 day money back satisfaction guarantee. If it is not fully refunded in 10 days after the plan is opened or a line charged, port out, and ask for money back, and later start over. Do not let it drag on.

When people order through TeleSales, they MUST specify they want a free line. If you just call and add a line without emphasizing free, the reps may make it a paid line. You can have paid lines on any account. They read you the terms and you agree to them and that is recorded. They also send you the terms in an email and you can see them in your DashBoard.

A lot of times all the records indicate that a pay line was added. People say later they wanted a free line but if there is no record of that. Sprint does not want to give everyone a chance to make a change retroactively in such cases.

But yes they are negligent in their business practices, I agree.

Partly it is unfortunate the impressions people take. Various people have posted "Call the dedicated line for this promo". The 8777 number is NOT a dedicated line for this promo. The reps offer all paid plans as well and obviously like to sell them.

But to get back to your case, contact [email protected] She is senior VP Marci Carris.

Anyone get the free year sub last year? I am curious to learn if anyone ported out and now able to port back for a SECOND year of service @ Sprint … I have to say, it was a great free year, I understand everyone here complaining about reliability, speed, talk/surf and other misc. but it's certainly a doable network operator - coming from Verizon to Sprint was a hard adjust, but Free is Free. I'd be down for a second year
This is discussed every day and the wiki discusses it. Please try and read back.

Port out to TMO and port back in to a spouses or family members plan opened under a different SSN.

Or, get your SSN completely off Sprint for 45 days and then you are eligible again under the same SSN.

No because those two phones require different sims.
Once you get the correct sim (free at Apple store), do an IMEI swap starting from your portal or by tech support chat.

Not sure I follow why you would ask. That is what this promo is about. You have to port in from Verizon or any other competing carrier. Yes, you can add more lines later the same way.
