I've read the wiki and still have three questions:

1) Is it better to call Sprint over the phone or sign up online? Why are people recommending to call if it's such a pain?

2) I'm on Virgin. After I receive the Sprint SIM and the digital TMobile SIM, how long will it take for me to port over to TMobile and then switch to Sprint? Can this be done in a day? I don't want to be without a phone for too long.

3) I'm porting an iPhone SE. Will all of my contacts, voicemail, and call history be intact by itself, or do I have to do something to back it up?

Thank you!

If i have a few Tmobile sim cards inactive laying around, is it ok to use them instead of the digital sim? If so, still use a 1 plus phone number as the account number?

Probably easier to just spend a few bucks and get the digital sim off ebay

If you re on Virgin, no need to port over to Tmobile.

Call the number go thru the process.

If you need a Sprint SIM, the Apple store will give them out for free or $5 (for me) at Best Buy.

My bad, then just follow the directions provided. Easy to get sprint sim in stores instead of paying over $10 from sprint

You do not need a new sim. You can use the Virgin one. YOU MUST CALL IN to Sprint to supply your own sim while signing up when you get to that step..

There are no Virgin sims, just Sprint/Virgin/Boost sims which can always be reused..

Okay, thank you, you saved me money. But I still need to switch to TMobile, so I can port over from TMobile to Sprint, right? How long should this take, max? Thank you.

It should take 5 minutes if done mid-day. It could take ??? if there are problems.

I would call Virgin before starting this, by the way, to make sure they will release any locks etc. needed to activate in Sprint postpaid.

No, because while I did not correct people who are calling Virgin an MVNO, it is actually not an MVNO, but rather, a prepaid division of Sprint itself. As such, they look after these things themselves properly. Actually they do not even use the MVNO flag, they have Virgin flags of their own. So LiterallyUnlimited will not touch them and does not need to.

How can you get a 2nd year free? Port out of sprint to a digital Tmobile sim from eBay for $3.25. Then port back into sprint using a different SS number (a spouse, friend, relative, etc). See below:

So I follow this process at the end of 1st free year? or i can do this process, and get 2 years for free, in the beginning of 1st year

The former. Just one year at a time.
