Thanks.

I did some more digging, and it seems that you can buy the Boost version of the E4 and somehow get it to work on the free Sprint plan if you never turn on the phone until it is activated on Sprint? Would I still need a special SIM card for the Boost E4, then?
No - use the sim that comes with it, in that case. That means you need to call to activate.
Some people have got those on, yes.

The business of not turning it on is a myth but leave it in the box unopened anyway in case it does not activate to make it easier to return.

Look also at other recent Boost Moto models too including G6 play - very popular and lots of people are getting it on. There are threads here on SD. May take a couple of tries.

Using a Boost phone (where you can get it on) is actually a much better idea because that way you get Sprint features such as Wifi Calling and Visual VoiceMail that you would often not get on a generic or other-carrier model.

Also Sprint will unlock it after 50 days.

Boost Moto phones come with the SIM you need. Not guaranteed that it will fly on Sprint though

For iPhone SE some models on eBay are stated not to work with CDMA. Is there a model number for iPhone SE that would work for both GSM and CDMA
I have A1662 model and it shows both CDMA and GSM, also shows eligible with Sprint free plan

That depends on where you live and how much Democrats have ruined things there. Different localities steal different amounts of money from you through bullshit "taxes."
Wow, so in my super red state of Utah I shouldn't have any additional taxes or fees, per your logic. Get your politics out of Slickdeals Mr. thrustbucket

Thanks again!

Will check out the G6 Play, but I was still so happy with my $32 unlocked Verizon E4 with fingerprint reader, and strongly prefer 5.0 inch max screen size for practicality. At least the G6 retains the fingerprint reader...

Boost Moto G6 Play was $80 on sale at Walmart and Boost and we will likely see it there again - maybe over Labor Day.

Non-Sprint S6 models would not have Sprint's bands. Only S8.

I want to get this deal but I don't have any of the eligible phones.
Is it safe to use an online IMEI generator and the swap to a different device?

Also, is there a way to opt out of buying the sim card when signing up online?

Some have used IMEI generator ok.
It seems unlikely the deal will go away right away although.
To avoid buying sim card, you MUST call in only.

I didn't say no taxes. Taxation rates, typically, can be mapped to just how much influence Democrats have. Utah has one of the lowest "taxes and fees" on a cell bill. Guess why? Guess which color locations with highest "taxes and fees" on cell bills are? Red or blue?

What's the easiest to get this? Should I just open a mintsim and port over or? Seems confusing ><.
There is some confusion because of all of the virtual numbers that people have used to port in.
If you are currently not on Sprint or any Sprint mvno like boost or tello you just get a compatible phone, make sure it has the correct SIM card for Sprint, call the number listed above and tell them you want the free BYOD plan. Boom piece of cake

ARE SPRINT REP's CALLING T-MOBILE REPS TO CONFIRM T-MOBILE No., PIN & ADDRESS for ADDITIONAL LINES AS WELL?

In my case they called T-Mobile and asked me to get the confirmation on address, pin and account number so that they hear. But that's for my new account. Not sure about additional lines.

It is automated in the first instance (with manual follow-up in rare cases) but certainly the pin and account number has to be verified for additional lines. TMO can't just give the number away to anyone who asks for it without requiring matching info.
