I need help with 2 questions please:

1. I added a line a year back and got the free for a 1 year deal, can I port in a 2nd # and get a free year for this new line? am I eligible?
2. Can I cancel my line after the year is up? how do I cancel the line?
1. Any added lines got and get the original expiry date of the first line.
2. Yes. Port out the numbers is the best way.

Check the Dashboard to confirm dates: Manage Plan / See details.

See the wiki for how to get another free year.

I added added 1 line a year back, it is expiring in a few days.
I went to tmobile and got a brand new phone number, can I add this new line and get the year free for this new line?
I do not need to save the phone # as my kids use it, Thanks,

No.
As I said, any added line gets the same expiry date as the first line. Namely, it would expire right now.
See the wiki for how to get another year. (wait 45 days off Sprint or use a different SSN).

It goes by SSN, not any of the things such as phone or phone number that you mentioned.

Probably easiest if you have a third (temporary) IMEI to use - swap that onto line 1, swap phone 1 onto line 2, then swap phone 2 onto line 1.

DO NOT CALL TeleSales for account maintenance. They know NOTHING about it or anything except Sales.

Chat with tech. support. Yes they can swap numbers. Yes I have done it. I would not make it complicated. Just ask them to swap the numbers without giving background etc.
Thanks, just a small question - for tech chat should I use regular chat when logged into mySprint?

Finally signed up this morning. Should have sign up before the 10GB hotspot went away. Frown Porting from Freedompop paired with my old Moto X Pure. Phone is been trying to configuring the cellular network for over 30 min..still configuring Retry 5 of 5. Anyone knows how long it takes for the phone to setup itself?

Port from freedompop can takes awhile (few days). You might want to give porting Dept a call to push it through.

Thanks for the reply. The sprint lady said she will call back tomorrow to help setup my online account. I was amazed for the excellent service. It took 28 minutes to sign up this service.

Have you setup account on Sprint.com? You can check status there. It will tell you it's completed or not. I don't think she would actually going to call you tomorrow.
