Have you done the UICC unlock on settings/updates?

No, do you have this phone?
Verizon said it will not work on its network

Says:

"The UICC Unlock has been updated. Your device is locked to only support your UICC."

Ours is locked to and active on Sprint.
First thing I would try is
Put Sprint sim in.
Settings/updates/ UICC Unlock.
See if it unlocks for any carrier.
Then try the Verizon sim

Ok I think you edited to add that.
So, it is not unlocked yet. Power cycle and try again.
If not you may have to call Sprint again

Also try updating prl and profile that wealthisachoice suggested to you a few days ago. He has successfully unlocked G6 play

Did the PRL and profile thing, so do you get the above statement with an active account. I mean will it always show locked or should it still work on my current account and the UICC show unlocked?

This phone is supposed to work with Verizon, looks like for the third time its not unlocked, GEEZ !

Thats the best you can do. Hopefully it works out for you.
It actually worked out, as soon as I activated with T-Mobile, the SIM card worked again and showed T-Mobile. I ported to Sprint shortly afterward. But I had to call Sprint twice. The first guy hung up on me when I declined to add total protection plan.

In Calling plus settings, toggle on only wifi calling, leave LTE calling off.
That is if your LTE signal is not strong enough
The reason why I am interested in calling plus is to surf web while making calls, wifi calling can not do that, only LTE calling can

They're phasing out LTE Calling Beta now since VoLTE is soft-launching next month.
So best wait for that at this point.

You will probably see VoLTE supported first on Samsung S8 in areas shown on the map here:
https://s4gru.com/entry/432-sprin...september/
and later on other other phones that now have Calling Plus.

To show you how close to release VoLTE is, they did not even bother including Calling Plus on the just released Samsung Note 9 since VoLTE will be out so soon and it obsoletes Calling Plus. (There is a way to uncover it for those who really need it right away).

Use google hangouts to call and surf at same time for temporary solution. I am just used to Sprint so rarely need to be on call and surf at same time.

Good idea. You can set Hangouts to send the normal callerid of your phone now too. I have mine set that way.

Sprint says my phone is unlocked. Now what?

Open the dial pad of the phone and enter # # 72786 # # (there should be no space between the characters)
Select "Yes" when prompted to reset the system setting to factory Default
Your phone will restart at least once.
After the phone has restarted go to Settings > System Updates and click the following:
Update PRL
Update Profile
UICC Unlock

UICC Unlock should NOW say:

Update UICC Unlock
The UICC Unlock has been updated. Your device has been unlocked to support any inserted UICC.

When I try to get started by entering my factory unlocked iPhone SE IMEI, it gives the following error message:
"Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device. Sign in to find this device on your account." I've never ever had a Sprint account and I bought this phone factory unlocked from the Apple store. Any idea? Thanks.

Yeah that's the message when it has been on a Sprint mvno at any time. You will have to get the mvno flag reset to SPCS. Which Sprint mvno was it on if it was?

Search LiterallyUnlimited in this thread for more info on the mvno flag and how to get it reset.
