As I am using my skype to call using wifi and also freedompop on my phone.
My call was dropped in a few of the calls that I made while I was in various stage of the application and freedompop has trouble picking up the call back (I got a voice message but i didnt activate voice message).

what is the best course of action? get some real phone number for a short term in order to apply?
So did you get around the phone number problem? I am impressed with your perseverance!

It should not drop with good wifi.

I would just try to agree on a protocol with the rep. to call you back. Maybe test it out at the start.

Try to get an actual application in today as it *could* end today.

I just spoke to Sprint about converting my number over from Verizon, and inquired as to how long a grace period I would have to convert my son's number over as well. The customer service rep told me that I can do so anytime within the 1 year of my signing up, regardless if the deal is still offered or not, but that the length of free service will be based on my original sign up date. So if I sign up today, on 8/31/18, and convert my son's phone over on 11/1/18, he will only have the free service until 8/30/19.

Hope this helps.
That's good but I would just be aware they are wrong about 50% of the time (actually higher) and have no hesitation in guessing answers, so most of us do not bother asking them questions. I actually agree with some of those answers in this case but others here do not.

In fact, their answer is already demonstrably wrong.

If you sign up today, the free end date is 9/30/19. That has been on the web page for a month. Which demonstrates how abysmally ignorant they are of even the basics. They just guess at everything.

just called again.

there is some consent form that must be signed for applications coming from VT.
I am advised to go to a store tomorrow to sign and the store will fax/email the form before they
can proceed with the application...

OK well it sounds as if the application is well documented so you should be ok even if they do end it today or tomorrow. Typically they allow a week for pending applications to complete when they end an offer (judging by the original KickStart).

If they approved your credit already, I would say you are IN - congratulations! If not yet, I am sure it is just a formality to complete it.

because i am currently homeless, and i gave my work address without street name (which is okay for credit card application yesterday and my phone number from st. abans. it may have caused a problem.) today, i added the street name (which is not needed because the zip code is only for the university) and they can at least say there is sufficient coverage in my address. a big progress. just want to get it done. thx. will update again.

I am using SIMGLW236C with my Moto G4 Play and while activation my phone says invalid sim card. I am positive this is a valid part as i have used it with tello before and gotten voice and data LTE coverage.

Any thoughts on why the HiddenMenu says Invalid SIM?

Udpdate 1: Scratch that. After that HiddenuMenu message, SprintDM did kick in to activate service. After going through that process that invalid sim card message wet away and i now have LTE coverage.

Since there was talk of this deal finally ending and because of the long weekend, I decided to go ahead and complete the process for my wife's line that I had started a few weeks ago. The online application had given a credit error and I just never got around to calling in to finish up. The rep was incredibly helpful and gave me a couple of sets of automated questions. After going through IMEI, ICCID, account info, etc., it took only about 5 minutes for the port to complete from Cricket. Everything is working great, so now we just see if it works great for her wherever she goes. If it doesn't work, we're out next to nothing, and if it does, we'll save $360 or so over the next year. I wish I'd done it sooner.

I let the rep go ahead and add the TEP to the line. I'll cancel it once I register the online account. She even said I could cancel it any time.

i would do a bit more trouble shooting before i ditch S completly.

my bet is there may be a issue with your phone settings
most likely APN stetings

there are many knowledgeable folks on these forums that may fix your issue

u well get better support here than from S tech..lol

good luck
I had the same issue on Tello (sprint mvno) last night. They had me dial ##72786#, then update prl and profile then restart and then was getting 10-20mbps.

After working perfectly well for 5 months, my Moto G4 on this plan starts up, gets signal including LTE for about 2 mins, then stops recognizing the SIM card.

Customer service could not fix. Store said SIM needs replaced. Both say there is no more inventory of the SIM SKU for the Moto G4.

Anyone else in this situation?

Sim is SIMGLW446C.

All sims are $2.99 delivered from Twigby or other prices at other places. You will not have trouble locating stock.

HOWEVER the contact pins in the phone go bad more frequently than the sim itself. They are a lot more fragile than the sim is. But certainly try a new sim to start. Also try manipulating the sim etc. but do not bend pins or they may break. Sometimes you can use a piece of tape etc. to lift sim to make contact.......get someone experienced to help....
