As mentioned, I funded the ATT account with $1 in order to activate the Prepaid SIM.

I ported out the next day, but I don't know of any reason you couldn't port out sooner.

When I called in to fund and activate the account, and start the port into ATT, they transferred me to the Port Department each time. The person at the Port Department worked on initiating the port into ATT, and gladly gave me my port out information. (On my first two number swaps, I tried to coax the port out info from the original CSR who started the activation of the ATT Prepaid SIM, but they always wanted $10 instead of $1 to fund. After that I just asked the port guy and never had an issue getting the port out info).
Thank you, repped.

Wow so LONG process, was on Ting so could not come over until I ported the number out. Also had to buy a MotoE4 as they would not bring in my old Kyocera from FreedomPOOP. Did the T Mobile port, thanks to ultrasoul for the simple concise instructions!!! And repped to the original OP. Prob got thousands of repped lol!

Yes you will have all Sprint features because any US branded S8 brand switches completely to any other branded S8 now.

You will even have VoLTE later this year.

Probably a silly question, but I did not see the answer clearly addressed. I just ported over my first line and want to add a second line tonight.

Do I need to port in the second line just like I did the first; giving them my current number and pin of current provider? Or can they just add the second line without them porting in from a different provider if I have a ready to activate phone and sim?

I hope that makes sense, thanks in advance.

Tried to add a line to my account with an old Nexus 5. IMEI check says I owe sprint money on the device. Chatted with an agent and confirmed the device does not own money but now it says the IMEI has been altered. What a BS.
The "you owe money" error does not mean what it says, but instead means the MVNO flag is set to PLBL and needs to be flipped to SPCS to make it eligible for postpaid.

If it was on Fi at any time, they will do that for you now. Same for Ting. Otherwise search LiterallyUnlimited in this thread and he can do it for you.

You have to port in another number, as noted in the Wiki.

Oh thank the lord. I wasn't impressed with the s9 enough I have hopes for the 10 hopefully in January.

But i'm forking over 120 a month to verizon for wifi calling since I get no service in my house.. I already canceled.
