What are you doing instead then?

Quote from ahallslickdeal :
I signed up for the 1 year BYOD back in January. I have few complaints, really. Reception in my house isn't as good as T-Mobile's was, but I have fiber service at home anyway. It's rarely been an issue. Mostly, reception is pretty good when out and about.

My biggest problem has been my phone's hotspot. I've been using hotspot for years, and this is the first time that my laptop, when connected will...freeze up sometimes. I've ruled out the phone itself because when I've used other SIMs in the phone, I don't have this problem at all. With Sprint, it's like if the phone itself stops connecting (like nothing is actively downloading on the phone), then the hotspot stops. When my laptop connection freezes while connected, the remedy is easy: open up the phone and refresh any page on the phone...and suddenly the laptop connects again! Annoying but I've believe it or not, I've gotten used to it. For $3.71/month, I can live with it.

But now that I understand that hotspot isn't part of the deal anymore, I won't try to renew this (with the possible tricks) after my deal ends in January.

Just ended up leaving sprint and porting out to tmobile digital sims off ebay and then ported back to sprint under different family members name and renewed another free year!!! THANK YOU SLICKDEALS!!!! Can't beat > $5/line/month for unlimited everything XD Hope they continue this for another year next year!

Just make sure you repeat and ask them to repeat the phone numbers and other important info because they goofed on a bunch of stuff that I had to spend hours on the phone trying to correct lol. Also the sales lady I spoke to was WAY too adamant about pushing the insurance plan, she didn't even really ask me just added it and then was like Oh I can't remove it now I have to redo everything and I'm like well go redo it then. bitch. lol. So watch out for that!!

If i have phone ONE not compatible ( wanna transfer this #); phone TWO is compatible ( wanna keep this # and this phone with currently carrier Verizon). Can I use phone ONE # and phone TWO IMEI info to get the sim card and activate this offer? then use this sim card with another compatible phone (will buy a cheap one later)?
Does this process affect phone TWO's service with Verizon? a little bit confused, saw someone said sprint might lock the phone or bundle phone's imei with sim card iccid info etc, not quite sure it's true or not., thanks
I do not see why not, but it has nothing to do with switching sim cards. You are thinking other carriers practice.

Sprint does everything by IMEI. not by sim card. And sim cards are not necessarily interchangeable between phone models.

So what you want to do is take phone one's number and phone 2's IMEI and activate that pair on Sprint.

Then later do an IMEI swap with the other phone when you get it.

Do not swap any sim cards - it accomplishes nothing. Just activate all phones with an appropriate sim card for that model. Activations are directly by IMEI but this is not a problem because you can swap IMEI's directly.

It should not affect phone 2's service with Verizon.

Nice.

And excellent advice.

Repeat # at least twice just to make sure.

Sprint is the YouTube verified publisher.

https://www.youtube.com/channel/U...FZLazOkDuQ

But it still could be extended or modified. We will see soon enough.

I see Groupon has this offer listed under "Mystery Deal" with a November 8 end date listed for Mystery Deal. But that could just mean different things.

So i ordered Boost Moto E4 from Walmart and got it shipped directly to my place. Called up sprint 1-866 number and they say they cannot activate this device. I never mentioned Boost or Prepaid to them but they say its a prepaid device and cannot be activated.

I thought people had luck activating Boost Moto phones if they were kept in box and not turned on. Any thoughts on how i can get E4 from boost activated to this service?

Any help will be much appreciated.

That's the wrong number. Call 866-782-8777. Do not mention Boost or Prepaid.

Hi @screamingninja,
Quote from screamingninja :
My Nexus 6 is not eligible, maybe because it's blue and not black šŸ˜‚ Sprint has always been a disappointment.
If your Nexus 6 is not used in any service at the moment, i.e., completely inactive, and is carrier-unlocked (don't know if there's one that's not), do a browser search for reddit in the wiki and you may be able to get help from that reddit user.

HTH and good luck.

Some people got it on.

I would try again. They do not match up calls so you can try a few times.

Failing that you might have to try IMEI swapping it on if you have another phone you can put on first (see other posts).

If worst comes to worst you can RMA it to Walmart but I would give it a few tries first. It often depends in the rep.

What makes you say it was not posted by Sprint. As far as I can see it was:

It list Sprint with a check mark as the verified poster.
