Thanks! (also thanks to SkyKing02). So far so good, PIN creation was part of the signup process. Only thing unexpected was an account number was assigned that was *not* the 1 + phone number. It also won't let me make an online account with Tmobile. But I got a confirmation email from Tmobs and my Sprint account shows the number gone already. Going to let it soak a bit before going to Sprint just in case. Last year I did pretty much immediate turnaround with Tmobile and it worked 3 out of 4 lines, but the 4th was a hassle, and I don't want to push my luck too much.

Ebay seller was good, got me replacements for the bad SIMs (haven't used them yet but appreciate the quickness).

Your Sprint chat transcript
This is an automated email. Please do not respond to this email address as it does not accept incoming email.
Jessica : Hi! Can I help answer any questions about bringing your own phone to Sprint?
<insert other irrelevant questions>
You : i see that the promotion is only valid until september 13th
Jessica : You are most welcome.
You : if i order a sim card kit on the 13th
You : will i still be able to complete the activation after the 13th? say, the 16th if it arrives then?
Jessica : Currently, we do not have any information regarding the end date of this offer however, you can activate the SIM card on 16th also.
You : your latest instructional video on youtube says the offer ends september 13th...
You : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-9Dz9pzlTe0
You : so...if the offer ends on the 13th and i begin the process by ordering a kit on the 13th
Jessica : Please do not worry.
You : can i complete it when i receive it?
Jessica : You can easily complete the activation after you receive the SIM card and I have double checked for you and chances are high that this offer will not end on 13th September.
Don't shoot the messenger, just figured I would share.

So I ordered an iphone 6s from boost and the imei is problematic. I called boost and they said it was fine. I checked swappa and it is fine.

I also checked with the checker for a sprint.com/1yearfree and it states there is a problem with the imei.

Ideas?

As far as I know, nobody has suggested you can use Boost iPhones on Sprint Postpaid. It is likely locked to Boost.

I think Boost requires you to use it on Boost for one year before it can be used an Sprint Postpaid.

Thanks for that data point. That is normal for the account numbers to be different. This method seems worth the extra 3 dollars. It eliminates possible tmo communication mistakes and of course wait times. And BTW, those digital Sims can be reused once ported out of tmo. For how long, I'm not sure but hang on to them nontheless. Did your port take less than 15 minutes?

Interesting. Which iPhone? Did you purchase from boost or elsewhere? Unactivated on boost? Thanks for posting - keep us updated.

Tmobile success email was in my inbox at 6:17, phone with Sprint SIM was no longer working around 6:30, checked the Sprint promo site for eligibility around 6:53 and everything came up eligible. So I think the port was within 15 minutes. Phone call with Sprint was completed around 8.

I agree, definitely worth the $3/line to me, I plan to do the rest of my port outs via the Tmobile website.

I'm overwhelmed by the size of this thread. I'm currently on Lycamobile with pay as you go. I bought an S9+ (carrier unlocked), but the phone won't be here until next week. I have the IMEI for this S9+.

I would like to get in on this deal.
1) Can I port my Lycamobile pay as you go number? Should I port it to GoogleVoice first?
2) Should I order the sim from Sprint for $3 + $10?
3) Can I get this deal even if I don't have my S9+ yet? Can I sign up online or would I need to call 866-782-8777?

Appreciate the help.

Call Sprint Credit Department direct number 800-639-6116.for reconsideration.

Usually it is an identity issue, not a credit issue, and they can work around that in many cases.
