I'm overwhelmed by the size of this thread. I'm currently on Lycamobile with pay as you go. I bought an S9+ (carrier unlocked), but the phone won't be here until next week. I have the IMEI for this S9+.

I would like to get in on this deal.
1) Can I port my Lycamobile pay as you go number? Should I port it to GoogleVoice first?
2) Should I order the sim from Sprint for $3 + $10?
3) Can I get this deal even if I don't have my S9+ yet? Can I sign up online or would I need to call 866-782-8777?

Appreciate the help.
The main reason this thread is so long is because the same questions are asked over and over again.

Just like u did.

While it is not realistic to read all 25 000 posts on this thread.

The least you and others like you can do is read the wiki.

A summary of most of t the relevant information for this deal

Which is why i been saying,

Read wiki.

Yes. LycaMobile is a non-Sprint based carrier.

No, you cannot sign-up without an IMEI that works with Sprint.

Can somebody please help. I read the wiki and still didn't see an answer.

I'm transferring from Cricket (ATT). I verified my number and IMEI on sprints website before ordering my Kit. Now that I have received the kit, there isn't a lot of direction on how to activate/port my phone (from sprint). I've tried to call multiple numbers from the above wiki and they say I don't have an account for my and are asking for my SSN and want to now create an account. Should this be the case (I thought I already ran a credit check when I ordered these SIMs).

Thanks in advance. Please respond ASAP, I'm trying to set these up tonight.

I already have the IMEI, just not the phone until next week. Sprint website said that the IMEI and phone number are eligible. That's why I was wondering if I should buy the SIM card for $13.

Ah, you do have it; I overlooked that you said so.

But yes, all you need now is the CORRECT Sprint SIM for an S9+. Twigby has it cheaper than Sprint.

After 3 days of trying Sprint I had to switch back to my tmobile sim. Call quality is the biggest complaint with the service. No hd voice support, no wifi calling. When I get two bars on Sprint the download speeds are great. Upload is pretty hot or miss. It's worth the 4 bucks a month but T-Mobile overall has much better service in Denver.

I went to a corporate store and they said they didn't have the SIM for the iphone. Are the SIMs different for different phone models? She mentioned something about type A vs type C.
Go to apple store, usually they give it to you for free.

Just signed up. These are the steps I took.
1. Bought a new unlocked Essential PH-1 for 225 locally
2. Tried to pick up a boost BYOD sim card kit from Best buy but they were out. They sold me a Sprint sim for 2.75. they even looked up what the correct sim would be for my phone.
3. Payed 3 dollars to Port my Google Voice number. The account number will be your Google voice number and your PIN is the PIN number used to access your mailbox.
4.Called the promotion phone number to set up service. First thing they asked was what service provider I was switching from. I told them Google Voice. Surprisingly that wasn't a problem at all. They started by by gathering all my info for the credit check. Then they asked for the imei and the number on the sim card. Then they explained that the line was 5 dollars and I would get a 5 dollar credit for enrolling in autopay, which I did. They told me to turn my phone on in about 30 mins and I should be ready to go.
5. This is where I ran into a hiccup. They phone would not activate and I could not sign up for a MySprint account. The phone number would come back as inactive or cancelled. I did some research and found out that it would take a few days to Port the GV number over. I called Sprint's porting department and told them what was going on. They looked up the account and saw that GV had approved the Port and she manually entered the Port inthe system. A few minutes later the phone activated.
6. I created a MySprint account and verified that I was enrolled in the correct free year plan. And done.

The whole thing was very easy to set up, the sales rep seemed pretty knowledgeable and willing to explain things to me. Even though I asked not to be enrolled in the device protection plan, I was. That's something to watch out for. Anyone know how I can get it removed?
