Hi all,

I've both read the wiki and have been watching this thread for a while, but I encountered something I wasn't expecting. I jumped on this last week, signing up two iPhones and today I just received a bill for a hair over $20. $10 for each $5 line, plus a $5 administrative fee + taxes, etc. What's the administrative fee for? Also, the billing period is labeled 9/7/18-9/7/18 (that's the day I signed up). I thought this was a postpaid plan and I wouldn't see a bill until the end of the first period? Why is the bill period 1 day?

Anyone else encounter this?

EDIT: I'm sorry - I looked closer and they said that this is for october and they bill in advance. It's due Oct 1st, so I guess this is to be expected. What's the deal with the administrative fee, though?

It's very odd - they un-enrolled me from autopay, too

Plan is $5/mo and you get $5 discount for having both eBill (paperless bill) & auto pay making it free

You still have to pay taxes/fees -- its in the terms on the website:
"Mo. charges excl. taxes & Sprint Surcharges [incl. USF charge of up to 18.4% (varies quarterly), up to $2.50 Admin. & 40¢ Reg. /line/mo.) & fees by area (approx. 5–20%)]. Surcharges are not taxes. See sprint.com/taxesandfees"

Activate eBill + auto pay and you'll be paying ~$10/mo for the 2 lines

The signup page says iPhone 6s is a no go.... "Sorry, but this device can't be activated with Sprint service. Try another device, or Shop for a new device."

Any thoughts?

So, I bought a Boost Mobile moto g6 play from Best Buy and was wondering do I use the sim card it came with to activate it, or buy one from sprint first? Thanks.

You MUST use the sim card that came with it. (They are likely to sell you the wrong sim if you buy one because they will assume it is the non-Boost model). Which means you must call in to add it. Do not mention Boost or Prepaid.

Same here. Tried Boost Moto E4 couple days ago and E5 Play today. No go.

Any thoughts from experts? Is there a way to sneak this device in or are we done at this point?

If you have another phone already active (or can get one on), you can try IMEI swapping this phone on in its place via tech support. Then later add the original phone separately as a new line.

Then swap numbers later on if you need that.

This tends to work but they could eventually crack down on that also.

Keep in mind the return period of whoever you bought it from. Boost's is quite short.

Are you calling the number in the wiki? NM Looks like you are. I hope that loophole isn't closing.

Watched the video in the wiki, and it definitely says that the promo is only valid through 9/13/2018. Any additional confirmation that the promo is ending and won't be renewed? Until now, the promo has kept getting pushed back another 3 months each time.
there was also a video posted in last few pages where the expiration date was ~7/31

Agreed. Quite often all that they mean when they publish an offer with an end date is just that that will initially commit to honor it until at least that date.

Right now the end of Savings date is still sitting at Sept 30 2019. At some point that will have to be revised out to allow new subscribers a full year. When/if we see that revised, the new date will give us a clue. As I recall, sometimes that has been revised out 2 or 3 months at mid-month. I would not be surprised to see that happen soon. They could leave that to the last minute too if they wanted but recently I think they have been doing that a couple of weeks ahead (i.e at mid-month).

I expect we may get that clue soon.

I think they must be closing in on the loophole. As soon as i provided the IMEI number, they looked up and said it's a BST pre-paid device and does not qualify. It happened with both E4 and E5 Play. Just wondering if it could be a certain batch that was able to sneak in? IMEI for both my device started with 990005xxxx

Wondering if it is worth giving G6 a kick. Anyone had recent luck activation those?
