I ported my number from T-Mobile to Sprint and am currently using an unlocked T-Mobile S8. For some reason, I'm not able to receive any service on my device. Any ideas how to fix this? The IMEI was shown to be compatible on Sprint's website - not sure if some settings need to be changed.

I assume you read the last few posts?
Does it start up with the yellow Sprint logo?

I had the same issue. When you go into the device unlock app does it say that your device is permanently unlocked? Are you on the latest update for the s8? For me, the issue was that after I installed the latest update I had to factory reset my s8+, put the tmobile sim back in and redo complete the unlocking process. After it unlocked again and said that the device was permanently unlocked, I was able to remove my tmobile sim and insert my sprint sim. All the sprint features fully worked after I completed the above steps.

there was also a video posted in last few pages where the expiration date was ~7/31
Don't recall seeing that one. I do recall that around 6/28-6/29, the terms changed from 6/30 expiration to 9/30. Hmm, guess I'll just do a new signup today

Agreed. Quite often all that they mean when they publish an offer with an end date is just that that will initially commit to honor it until at least that date.

Right now the end of Savings date is still sitting at Sept 30 2019. At some point that will have to be revised out to allow new subscribers a full year. When/if we see that revised, the new date will give us a clue. As I recall, sometimes that has been revised out 2 or 3 months at mid-month. I would not be surprised to see that happen soon. They could leave that to the last minute too if they wanted but recently I think they have been doing that a couple of weeks ahead (i.e at mid-month).

I expect we may get that clue soon.
So... did this exact thing happen back around mid-june? Because based on how they changed the terms of the 1yearfree page back around 6/28, I was planning to wait until 9/29 to see if they'd extend it until the end of the year.

It happened on or about July 11.
By June 28th, they'd already updated the terms to say that the promotion would be valid through September 30. What exactly did they update around July 11th?

Some people have always had problems.
I would try a few times. They have no record of your call.
This allows you to get some practice in sounding confident.
This kind of thing is part social engineering.
Not sure what to make of this comment.
Confidence isn't my problem. I think they have closed the loophole and flagged the phones as prepaid. I made the posting to try to get some data points for people.

I know you did but I think you are mistaken or at least that is not the whole story. Some people are still succeeding.

Some people had problems from the start.

I would suggest trying a few times if you have not done so.

I was not suggesting it is a function of self-confidence, but possibly partly a function of chance and "social engineering" skills. There is the expression "confidence man". It is not generally a good quality, but similar skills are very helpful in dealing with reps who are fickle.

There could have been a sudden change in policy, but I suspect not. We will see.

Where do you see that. I do not think it is correct.
I had a family member signed up on 6/22. I checked back a few days before the previous 6/30 expiration to sign someone else up... and they'd already changed it to 9/30.
