Don't think so. You need to call in to get a RMA # then ship the phone back within 7 days.

How do I do this? The thing I lost the SIM card and the phone. I havent used this plan in like 6 months
You do not need the Sprint sim card or the phone.

All you need is your phone number and account number and account pin to give to the new carrier, who will submit it to Sprint.

In your case, if you do not need the number to be preserved, you can just call 1-888-211-4727 and select cancel if you prefer. However that way they will not close the account until billing cycle end that way. They can explain the details to you.

Usually they will not pro-rate part months but you can try if you can come up with some reason for an exception. If you are within 15 or 30 days, they MIGHT cancel the paid plan retroactively. They have a have a 15 day / 30 day refund policy. Say you did not get notice or something,

I was denied service because of a phony credit report (I have exemplary credit). This was after I was hung up on, 4 TIMES! So for giggles, I tried to sign up for new service for my mom (also exemplary credit), same thing. Denied because of credit history.

BS. Too many people must have signed up for the deal. Don't waste hours of your day like I did.

I still have about one month for current free plan.
I am afraid to port that out and in now, and get screwed in the middle, like porting issue or phone release issue. Then I not only loose current plan but all my working lines go nowhere.
I would rather create the plan first, then move my numbers later on.
That is why, I am short of working phone.
got it...better to be safe than sorry..but u r only risking ~1 month so is worth the risk

anyways, good luck

I have read through so much stuff on this deal.

I am getting confused as I was told by sprint that to add a line to an already set up free year I would need to port a number in for it to be free.

So to do this with boost g6 I would,
1)Buy a new Boost g6
2)Port out daughters current number from sprint to another carrier (t-mobile)
3)port daughters number back in to sprint with new g6 (using the sim that came with it)

Correct?

Same as you would an unlocked phone? But I thought Boost had to have it on their network for X amount of time before it would be unlocked.
pretty much..exactly what is posted in wiki.....

If you want, you can call Sprint's Credit Dept direct at 800-639-6116 (not any other number) and they can re-evaluate in many cases. They can use different identity test questions if that was the issue (which I suspect it may have been).

I port out all lines from Sprint about 50 days ago and planning to port back in to get 2nd year free. I know it's after 45 days that you will be considered a new custormer, however, I find that I still have access to my Sprint online account (somehow they didn't cancel my account even I port out all lines and have a 0 balance). Does anyone know if I am still considered a new customer under this case?
i think better is to call the number in wiki...and start a new account there...times a wasting...

I am assuming too much. I appreciate the help, but I assume most people know that if you ordered a phone from an online retailer like Walmart , Target or Best Buy you can return it in store. Someone else replied and got the gist of what I was asking from my initial comment.

I ordered a Boost phone from Boost.com and their return policy is lacking. I called the number on the site looking for a RMA and the rep told me to return it in store. I wanted to confirm before wasting my time.
