Still, the method listed there seems to work for some. I just don't want to screw with the official option when it comes, so I wonder if it's safe. GV does seem lower risk.
GV = 0 risk
and an added benefit is you can make and receive GV calls(and SMS/MMS) on almost any device: PC, MAC, Android, IOS

Is there any way to buy a phone from Sprint once done porting in with BYOD? I'd buy something on lease etc. As long as it doesn't have add-a-line is that allowed? Like a FLEX lease.

i placed the order online and got the SIMS card but I cannot find where to activate online. I called the phone number from the wiki but the rep. told me that the promotion has ended by phone so I can only activate it online. What should I do?

The whole idea of the BYOD is that Sprint doesn't offer any phone deals. So it costs them almost nothing. Your only option through Sprint is to buy a full-priced phone.
Better option is to buy any Sprint compatible phone from swappa or eBay and bring it on to your byod.
Or if you're an iPhone person bring one from the Apple Store

Nice offer and i am using it for the second year..lte is kind of on the slower side ( i used tmob for a while on same device) but it may be area specific..the biggest downside is you cannot use data when a call is on..but u can't complaint too much when u pay 5$ a month (tax and other charges) for unlimited call and data.. go for it..

I noticed the same thing. Nowhere in that convoluted mess of a wiki does it actually mention the activation link, lol.

Had no luck finding Z2 Force at Best Buy. Question can a brand new Moto g6 play from boost mobile be a replacement for my smashed Galaxy s8?

No, this BYOD deal is not eligible for the FLEX lease.

The only upgrade options given within the app is the "full price" or "pre-owned" phones.

u noticed the same thing ? awesome.

u did update the wiki with that information..right?

anyone can update the wiki.
even u can do it.

but do keep in mind, the wiki cannot have all the information in the world about a deal.
just the salient points.

if u think is a convoluted mess...then by all means..update it..clean it up..go ahead..i will wait...

edit: I just noticed. all u did was complain about the wiki and did actually nothing about it

awesome.

well done.
another free year.

my person feeling is if u see value in the 1 Y f promo and want a new iphone...just get it paying full price from apple

that way there is slim to no chance of messing with ur 1 y F P

side note: with these apple pjhones, there is only slight difference in the previous years models

so u can get a brand new xs for what 1100? or a brand new ip8 for 600.
im go w the ip8 when my better half is finally fed up with her ip6s+

thanks 4 the input. I'm good with my old phone but can't convince the wifey ☹️.

what about these options? ( i think yours is close to #2)

1. Upgrade existing iphone 7 to z's on current 1yr free plan then switch it to t-mobile and resign up.
2. Buy new iphone independent at apple , throw a sim in and then switch
3. resign up all phones to 1yr free using sims. wait 3 months to upgrade/buy 1 iphone from sprint to new model (i think 3 mos is waiting period before able to switch phones i believe to not ruin promo).
4. others?

#3: why not buy from Apple? Why do you have to wait 3 months? Price is still the same as right now.
