Thank you. My English is bad. So should I go to the Sprint store to buy the sim card?
You could but people often get talked into letting the store "help" set up the phone and find they get signed up for a paid plan without wanting that..

Easiest thing is to order from Twigby which will send you one for $2.99 delivered.

https://www.twigby.com/shop/twigb...s/simcards

Twigby is fully authorized by Sprint (they are a Sprint mvno).

Or Best Buy for 9.99 if you are in a rush:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/boos...Id=5887020

Or free from most Apple Stores for iPhones.

I had signed up for this promotion by transferring two phone lines from Virgin Mobile to Sprint (via T-mobile as explained in this thread) a week+ ago.

Today, when I login to my Sprint account, I see a bill for $29.89. They have charged my $5 for each phone line and $13 for insurance for one of the lines. I had explicitly told Sprint not to add insurance; they still added it; then I called them to take insurance off; I am on the phone with Sprint now and my account still has insurance on it?!? Sprint phone rep is issuing credit for insurance now.

I would urge everyone to check and recheck their accounts.

My bill was reduced to $17.32. I've been charged $5/line for two lines (which will be removed from next month as I doubly/triply ensured I was signed up for AutoPay), $6 sprint surcharge and taxes etc. Autopay is required for free offer. I had signed up before but it did not go through for some reason. Read Wiki and confirm all elections are in as described

Rep. may get commission from insurance. Some almost desperately forced me.....
Bad experience with Sprint. I would not deal with them anymore after finishing one year promo.

It is not the prepaid flag it is the mvno flag. The prepaid flags cannot be relaxed except by Boost etc. themselves.

Assuming it was not a prepaid phone, really you should ask FP first as they can do it.

Otherwise contact LiterallyUnlimited on reddit provided again it is not a Boost phone. It is abusive to ask him to do it for Boost or Sprint prepaid branded phones.

If it is a Boost phone or Sprint prepaid phone you cannot do it period.

Are you leaving out the phone brand and model and origin details intentionally? It makes it lengthy to have to cover multiple possible cases in replies.
I have a Sprint-branded phone (Galaxy S7 Edge) on FP and I'm unable to transfer to this BYOD. If the solution is to contact FP, do I just ask them to "flip the mvno flag"? I also contacted the guy on reddit and he wasn't able to help, telling me that since FP is a Sprint MVNO, my phone is technically on the Sprint network already so the porting can't be done. I find it hard to believe because others are accomplishing it unless there's some detail that I'm overlooking that's making my situation unique.

they'd push it in your account, no matter you agree or not. As wiki described, it's easy to remove just by login in your account online and chat with them online to have them remove it for you. It's acctually simple as long as you know it.

You have to get the PHONE (not necessarily the number) off FP as the first step. I had not realized it was still on FP. I had assumed it was already off.

LiterallyUnlimited always makes clear that he cannot touch a phone while it is still on the Sprint network and asks people not to contact him while is still on Sprint's network.

If you do talk to FP, yes, ask them to release its MVNO status for use on Sprint postpaid at the same time they release the phone. They may or may not do that automatically. You can wait and see that part if that is easier than asking ahead of time.

THEN, once it is OFF FP, the mvno Flag issue may or may not come up (with error message "You owe Sprint") depending on how they released it.

Porting a NUMBER from FP is separate. THAT can be ported directly from FP regardless since they do not use Sprint numbers. But the phone IMEI you supply must not be currently on FP Sprint side.
