Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Was it ever on Fi? If so, Google Fi support can release it for postpaid. They do this no problem. It happens all the time with Nexus phones. Fi is considered a Sprint mvno so the mvno flag is set.

That is not the most common error message for that situation though.
It is a used 6P, given to me. So dont know if ever on Google FI.

Would a phone still flagged as PLBL be fully eligible for both Tello and Ting, but not Sprint ? Or is such a situation possible b/c Sprint BYOD is postpaid ?

It probably was on Fi.

Yes the situation of being eligible on both Tello and Ting, but not being eligible on Sprint postpaid, is precisely the one we are looking for to suggest the MVNO-only (aka PLBL) flag is set.

(It is in cases where it shows as is not eligible on Ting or Tello that would indicate something different is at play).

In your case, hopefully getting Google Fi to flip it to SPCS will fix it. (Often the rep may not be too technical and it is best to just say "release it for use on Sprint Postpaid" as that may be the way some of them think of it). Since it is a Google phone, I think they will do it. If not, you can try Sprint or LiterallyUnlimited.

There could be something else wrong as well but hopefully not....

If they are on the sprint side of Ting, after you port out, you will have to ask ting to release those phones for sprint postpaid use. See comintel's posts on this page. Also read the wiki for tips on re-upping.

I need to port my existing Xfinity Mobile and I need to get a send line for my kid.

What is the best way to get 2nd line? Should I buy a number on https://www.numberbarn.com and use that to port? Does Sprint ask any info (Carrier?) apart from account number and pin?

Is Google Voice route better? Same question on GV route, what carrier info should I provide?

Please advise. Thanks in advance.
For Numberbarn port-ins, you just need the acct no. and pin. They will probably ask you what carrier you're coming from. You could just tell them Numberbarn, but my rep didn't like that answer. Others have said you can just tell them Tmobile, as it doesn't really matter as long as they have the acct no. and pin. For Google Voice, just say Google Voice... Reps are cool with that.

Do I have to port out and then port back in if I am using freedompop now? If not, then I think I have what I need to make the call to sprint and try to get in on this promotion. TIA for any help!

I read the FAQ and i saw an initial report about Tello users needing to do some extra work because of a post-paid flag, but I wasn't sure if this was applicable to freedompop users. Are there any caveats here from those who have already ported from freedompop? Would appreciate the help!

You need account and pin number. If you don't have a pin number listed, you can message FP but it usually takes them a few days to respond to your request. If you have all that you should be good. It's hit or miss with the speed of port. If more than a day try number in wiki for Sprint porting Dept to try and accelerate the port.

I'm sure this has been asked before, so sorry if it has. But can I port my number from Verizon. Stay with Sprint for a month or two (largely to take advantage of their global roaming feature) and then port back to Verizon? Would effectively cancelling this BYOB plan before a full year result in any sort of fee or penalty?

iPhone Xs will be eligible for Byod. You'll need(you guessed it) new SIM card SIMOLW516TQ, SIMGLW416TQ, or SIMOLW416TQ These cards are Sprint's newest sim part numbers, so not widely available yet. Best place to check would be Apple store after you receive phone and verify imei is eligible.

No contract or fees -- you can leave whenever you want

Just remember that this is postpaid service so there's a hard credit check when you sign up -- VZ will probably do another credit check when you switch back to them

I got a lg G6 it's about half the price of s8 used and just slightly slower. The s8 has snapdragon 835 and the g6 821. You prob won't notice a difference
