bill for October states 39.90 due. Is this occurring to anyone else that signed up recently?
Sprint customer service probably signed you up for the maintenance plan. That happened to me this time. I need to call and cancel those extra plans on 3 of my phones.

iPhone 6 & 7 use the same SIM, but you can't just swap your SIM to the new phone -- you need to do a "device swap" by contacting Sprint (online chat works) and giving them your new phone IMEI/ESN and your SIM's ICCID

Make sure its a CDMA iPhone so it works on Sprint and not a GSM iPhone (ATT/TMo network only)
Will I lose my free year of service if I swap out the Iphone 6 for the Iphone 7 Plus? My wife's phone (Iphone 6) is no longer holding a charge. Both phones are free and clear and attached to the Sprint network.

Has it happened to anyone that after the cooling period, they come back and end up getting kicked out for cheating the system ?
Nope, never heard of that.

Only heard of someone who bought 16 Essential phones getting banned for illegal re-selling.

Might be simplest if you first detach the iPhone 7 Plus.

And no way to do it before the 45 day mark with the same SSN right?

A simple phone swap initiated through your dashboard is the way to go. Edited to assume your ip7 is free of any network

Instead of being rude, I'll answer your question.

Unless you have another SS# you have to wait 45 days after you've ended service with Sprint. That's what I'm going to do on Friday. Get the iPhone (via IUP), activate on current Sprint plan (on the $40 a month because free ended last month), then activate on Mint.

After that is done. I immediately close my Sprint account, wait 45 days, then get the 2nd year w/ Sprint.

That's not being rude. A lot of time and effort has been put into the wiki. Had he read the wiki there would have been three less postings on this thread which is now in the thousands.

Okay! Sorry for asking, but what's the reasoning of getting the iPhone through Sprint? I thought savings applied as bill credit.
