Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Is there anyway to pay a little bit more to be able to stream HD? Being limited to 480p streaming kind of sucks. I like to stream NFL and MLB games while away from home and I would gladly pay extra to be able to stream in 1080p or even 720p. However, I'm hearing that with some spring plans there's not even an option to be able to add that on?

It works, you just have to be persistent. Call only the main Free Year BYOD number 866-782-8777. Do not call any other numbers, especially Boost. It's best not to turn on your new Moto G6 Play until after your phone has been added to Sprint's postpaid BYOD system. You might lock the phone to Boost if you set it up prematurely before the phone call. The csr may tell you the phone is not in their system initially, but just tell them it's a Motorola and that they need to add it to their system. Tell them both the MEID (HEX) and (DEC) and ICCID. Eventually they will add it to their system. Sometimes you get a csr that is not experienced, just ask them to ask a supervisor how it's done. I just did this so it works.
This is wrong. I previously added a Boost G6 play moths ago and tried to add another one last week and it didn't work. The issue is the financial elgibilty of the phones I beleive. The new phone I received was financially ineligible on Sprints site and couldn't be added. They can't add financial ineligble devices. I even tried another data point. I went to Walmart and tested an imei from a g6 play there, it may have been old stock but that phone was financially eliglble and I'm sure I would have been able to add it if the phone wasnt $120. My theory is that Boost figured out what was going on at least for the G6 play and so not all of them will be able to be added.

I couldn't get approved when I tried to sign up over the phone. I was given a bunch of random people's name which I did not recognize at all. Has anyone had this experience?

Yes call the Credit Dept Direct at 800-639-6116 and they can use a different identity verification test based directly on your credit report rather then the initial public domain record based identity verification test.

Thanks. Finally got the sim today and now using it. LTE speed sucks at where I live but little bit better when I get outside. Can't complain about free service. Actually was easy to activate my account but porting from my previous carrier was not that smooth...Had to call twice finally got it done.

I got a SIM free/unlocked iPhone XS Max directly from the Apple store and a SIMGLW416TQ nano SIM from a Sprint retail store and when trying to sign up online, I was told my phone is not eligible for the free one year BYOD promotion. Any idea why it was ineligible?

You mean via Chat? Chat does not support the free plan or know the details and says things like that all the time. Call the number ending in 8777. You cannot sign up online with your own sim. You have to call the number ending in 8777 only.

I bought IPhone XS Max sim free version from Apple store and the IMEI check for the Sprint 1 year free BYOD said the phone is NOT eligible.

I put the IMEI into Ting BYOD IMEI check and it said the phone is eligible.

Does anyone get to use the iPhone XS max on the sprint BYOD plan ? How do you get pass the IMEI check ?

It turns out a family member's iPhone SE (AT&T prepaid) is incompatible even though it's unlocked.

A bit confused about which iPhones actually work with Sprint. Some work only with Sprint, others work only with AT&T/T-Mobile/Verizon, and some work with all of them?

People say you have to mess with the last digit. Keep adding it back if it deletes it. Regardless, it is eligible. You cannot activate online anyway when you provide the sim. Just call the number ending in 8777 to sign up.

Yes you are correct. Were you not aware that Apple made some models with chips that were incompatible with Sprint and Verizon?
