Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I just checked the imei number on sprint website and it says that this phone is eligible for BYOD plan.
Sure it is eligible but that just means it can connect on *some* bands *some* of the time..

Did you read my post? Everything in it still applies. Any phone lacking band 41 will have grossly inferior performance in many (not all) areas. If that is fine with you, you are all set.

Besides LTE Discovery, are there any good Android applications that can tell you which bands you're connected to and what their signal strengths are? For some reason I know there are band 41 towers close to my home but my LG G5 is not able to connect to any of them. I'm only able to connect to band 25 according to LTE Discovery which is why my speed tests are all crap and there are band 26 and 41 towers all around my area. I get faster and steadier LTE on Cricket's Unlimited 2 plan, and considering it's limited to 3mbps for everything that's a pretty awful statement. I intended on using this LG G5 with PDANet to use as a hotspot, but if this is really how bad Sprint's network is there's a good chance I'm going to cancel my free year of service and just stick to my free Cricket 3mbps smartphone.

It is at least partly your area or the phone. Sprint has good areas and bad areas. I get band 41 over the entire Raleigh Durham area with a few exceptions. It is also possible your area is in the middle of the "5G upgrade" which is currently underway in some areas and, in some, some band 41 towers are temporarily shut down a lot for upgrades.

SignalCheck Pro (only, not the free version) is better but all of them have limitations of tending to show towers only of the band you are currently connected to because that is what the phone is holding ready to switch to as you move around.

If you want more insights, take it to some major shopping centers or a corporate Sprint store.

No it is not. Everybody gets the same expiry date of 11/30/2019 currently. That gets revised periodically so that new subscribers always get over a year. This is right in the Sprint plan announcement on their web site.

Check your own end of savings date in DashBoard/Manage Plan/See Details and you will see it is an end of month date that is maybe 12.5 to 13 or 4 months or so from the date you signed up. Let us know if it is otherwise <g>.

My year is up. I suppose the retention department isn't offering deals to keep me from leaving, right?

When one year is up, the sprint most likely not exist any more and become part of T-Mobile or dead

I am curious to know why it is ineligible?

I ordered my XS max which will be delivered over the weekend and was planning to use it with a 4 in 1 SIM bought from sprint store and then do the porting from T-mobile.

Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer. iPhone Xs Max, bought unlocked from apple.com, delivered on launch day.

I successfully added my xs max to the plan, the sprint checker won't work with new release phone, i think. Go to apple store and ask for a sprint sim card. Then, you can swap to your new iphone via chat or add new line by calling sprint promo number.
