Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I'm willing to have a little more patience. Especially since I have five free lines for a year.
It's like 1 minute to swap device, and you can do it by yourself online, without new sims, if it's compatible with new phones.

"supposedly paid-off Sprint" ?
From Where did you get this Xs Max ?
Swappa and from the IMEI checkers, IMEI is financed but IMEI2 is read to activate. I cannot find a clear answer to which IMEI is the SIM card and thinking maybe I'll just try to activate it on a test Google Voice number and see if it works

Wiki It says iPhone 7 (Verizon) as if only if you were just with Verizon? I would be porting it from T-Mobile.
That is on the list of usable phones.
Tmo iPhone 7 is gsm only
You need cdma compatible phone to use with sprint

Didn't work. Tech support says my device is financially not eligible. Purchased from boostmobile.com brand new.

I did the swap in this manner because it was a Boost Motorola G6 Play phone that would not have got past the online checker. I used the Sim that came with the phone.

So I successfully added a Boost Moto G6 to my existing free BYOD Sprint plan, and both lines are about to expire. Can I follow the instructions for porting to TMobile on the Boost Moto G6 that has already been registered with Sprint? And then, in 45 days, can I try porting back in to Sprint if this promotion is still going on? I wasn't sure if this would work because it was originally a Boost phone.

u can port out to TM from S regardless of which phone u have on S

getting back to S from TM using a B phone is the unknown

many will have theories, but not sure anyone can answer definitively

Have 2 free lines ending this month -- ported out one line to TMo prepaid yesterday (will do 2nd line later)

Was going to call in to signup for free year again under family member but decided to risk it and order online for chance at $100 cash back -- ordered service using BeFru cash back portal (clicked the cash back link a few times before ordering)

2.99 SIM + 0.31 tax + 10.00 ship = 13.30 total

Cash back was pending 15 mins later -- 3 month wait to see if they actually pay out

Date: 26-Sep-2018
Store: Sprint
Order Total: $2.99
Cash Back: $100.00
The retailer has verified your Cash Back purchase. The estimated payable date is 25-Dec-2018.
if free year service promo from Sprint just started, how is yours about to expire? or is this been around for a while and I just came to find out now? Frown

btw, i'm with Tmobile, just got XS Max, 8+, and 6s. What's the best option for me for maximum savings?

If you've had your Moto G6 Play on the BYOD plan for more than 50 days, request an unlock. Others have reported successfully requesting unlock after 50 days. Once it's unlocked, you have more freedom to do as you choose. Whether you can bring it back to BYOD after porting out to TMO for 45 days is the big unknown as I don't think anyone has done that yet. If anyone has done it, please report.

Thread was started 06-09-2017 so its been going on for over a year -- I signed up Sept 2017 w/ service ending this month

If you want to try the $100 cash back route then order online using a cash back website ($3 per SIM + $10 ship whole order) -- otherwise call the 8777 number in the wiki and just sign up over the phone (use Sprint SIM cards if you have them or order them over the phone)

You can run your phone numbers + phone IMEIs online to make sure they're compatible with Sprint service

This promo has been going on since June 2017. It keeps getting extended every two months or so. Just follow the wiki instructions to port your lines over from T Mobile. You can get free Sprint sims by going to an Apple store and asking for them. 90% of Apple stores will give them to you, if you get rejected, just go to another store. Then call the number 866-782-8777. Don't call any other numbers nor go to the Sprint store, you'll just get complications. Call the number I gave you for best results.
