Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Got to wait for 45 days if you use the same SSN while coming back to Sprint.

You can do it on either same or next day if you use another SSN (family or friends).

In both the cases, keep the Sprint SIM with you, so you can use the same SIM while porting into Sprint.
Thanks! I am going to sign up with another SSN, which is associated with an old sprint account. I am wondering if I can use that account or need to create a new one to take advantage this promotion.

Thanks. Will hold off on leaving until the box has been returned. Just means I'll have to pay for one month of $60 unlimited since Monday is my last free day. I should've returned it weeks ago but thought the local store would take them. Now I have to wait 5 days for the return kit.
Why pay that? If you port out the line you can avoid the $60. You do not have to return the Magic Box to take it off your line. And they will not charge you the $60 anyway even if you leave it stranded on there.

What I meant was that the 45 day period to count *later on* as a new customer may or may not start until the MB is off, but this has nothing to do with billing on the current account. You will not be billed just because of the MB still being on there. Plan and account are two different things. The MB is not part of your plan at all and does not affect its billing periods.

I strongly suggest call Account services (ask for "Cancellations") 1-888-211-4727 to get everything confirmed and save yourself the $60!

Or just port out the numbers including the MB if you can't stand talking to them. They are not the monsters people make them out to be though. They are a special much-more-sophisticated division of Sales that is much lower key than (many) pushy reps in TeleSales.

You can't use that account but you can create a new one with that SSN provided it has not been activate in the past 45 days.

Right! You didn't read the wiki.
Ok first off, I had this for a year, and had it before there even was a wiki. I'm trying to sign up for round two.

Secondly, the first two phone reps I got were just jerks. I had to call a 3rd time to get them to let me use an existing SIM.

Please quote the part of the wiki that guarantees the sprint phone rep you get won't be an idiot or a jerk.

I do not know what you are referring to but of course you can use your sim that is EXACTLY CORRECT for YOUR model and we have people here posting every day doing so. In fact it is the best way to do it. You must call the TeleSales number (only) to do so. Do not ask them, just do it. If they ask where you got the sim, say from a Sprint store.

There is no chat support for this offer. Chat knows next to nothing about it.

It is true that if you insist on signing up online, then it will force a sim purchase from them. Maybe that's what you meant. If so, that is true.
I had this deal last year, gone for 60 days and was signing up again.

What I meant is the two reps I talked to last night were jerks, and insisted that "in order for the service to work properly, you must purchase a new SIM". Called back and got someone different this morning and got ported back in.

- The first year is free except govt. related fees/taxes, provided autopay ($5 credit) is enabled, yes?

- What happens after the first year? I read it changes to $60/month but I really don't want to pay $60/month as I travel most of the time and I'm not sure if I'd be able to do the T-Mobile $5 e-sim as suggested in the Wiki. Can I just stop using the service or call to cancel and not be charged?

- Will my unlocked iPhone be locked to Sprint in anyway for this first year?
Anyone can assist, please?

Yes, you need set up auto pay to get $5off.
Second, after first year, you need to pay $60 per line, $40 second line and $30 third
You can order e sim from e bay, and use T-Mobile online link to port you phone number. After that wait 10 mins , you will receive an email from T-Mobile to confirm your phone number has been transferred, then call sprint to cancel your account and pay off your balance. Waiting for 45mins to 1 hour to call sprint confirmed that no balance on your account.
Last, call sprint to port your T-Mobile out and set your sprint free one year offer.

Other question:

If I've use my current unlocked iPhone to port in a Google Voice to activate on Sprint, would I be able to cancel that line after a few days and re-use the same phone to port my actual phone number. I wanted to try out the service before canceling my existing service. Will use my wife's SSN and later mine. Thanks.

Perfect! I was only reinforcing that same attitude. It is a shame when some other people give in to completely incorrect advice from a few reps who know next to nothing about their own service.

There is no contract with this offer. You can port out or cancel anytime you want. This has been said well over a hundred times in this thread. Your phone will not be held hostage!

That was one of the few reps who got it right. Many get it wrong and say it is exactly 12 months, which is incorrect. I guess they are finally learning.
