Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Yes, you need set up auto pay to get $5off.
Second, after first year, you need to pay $60 per line, $40 second line and $30 third
You can order e sim from e bay, and use T-Mobile online link to port you phone number. After that wait 10 mins , you will receive an email from T-Mobile to confirm your phone number has been transferred, then call sprint to cancel your account and pay off your balance. Waiting for 45mins to 1 hour to call sprint confirmed that no balance on your account.
Last, call sprint to port your T-Mobile out and set your sprint free one year offer.
Can you share the "T-Mobile online link to port your phone number"? I can't seem to find it online.

Edit: Found it. It's https://prepaid.t-mobile.com/prep...own-device

Need to punch in the SIM card number in manually on the janky T-Mobile BYOD website, no copy-paste allowed. I had an old expired SIM card, and got the error message "This card is terminated". I bought a physical one from a guy on eBay and asked him to send me the number. That number didn't work on this portal even though seller guarantees that this is a new legit T-Mobile SIM card. "The simNumber entered is not a <T-Mobile/Walmart Family Mobile/Metro PCS/MVNO> SIM Card." Ugh. I asked the seller to cycle through his SIMs until he finds one that works on that website. None of his physical SIMs worked. I gave up and canceled that order and bought a "digital ICCID" instead for $2.95 and that worked!

Next I tried to make it through the BYOD portal, you select the "PayGo" service. It's $3 + tax, but that way you can check out and let the port process happen electronically. The portal is really fidgety and the Continue button kept staying greyed out even though I filled out all the fields and couldn't see any error messages. I had to go back and forth a couple times to get it all to work. There is some address validation script that doesn't seem to always trigger the popup correctly.

I was on hold with T-Mobile porting dept for 35min and it sounds like people are having to hold for way longer on the weekends. So I gave up on that.

This is way more of a pain in the neck than I anticipated!

Thanks - that explains the fixed minimum of $15 per month with 5 lines even with the free plan.

does att prepaid qualify ? i called they said no
Of course it does.
Well, many AT&T-sold prepaid phones may be locked to AT&T, and would not qualify, which could be what they had in mind. Maybe they were just giving you a typical result overall for Prepaid users.

For this 1 year free plan offer. Today I got one sprint sim card from corporate store. But just now i had a chat with Sprint customer care service and they are telling me that you need to buy sim card from online only for this offer as these sims are different then the ones which you get from corporate store and corporate sim card will not work. Can somebody please help me and tell me if this is true.
Because in this thread i read that you don't to order sprint sim card, if you already have one. Please help. Thanks in advance.

Definitely provided the phone is free and clear and unlocked and not sold under a financing promotion co-sponsored by Sprint that they have to pay a commission on.

Anyone can assist, please?
(1) Correct
(2) You have to either port out or call to cancel in November 2019 (assuming you subscribe now) or you will be billed starting 11/30/2019
(3) No unless it was sold by Sprint and even in that case they will unlock it for you after 50 days on the service.

Why pay that? If you port out the line you can avoid the $60. You do not have to return the Magic Box to take it off your line. And they will not charge you the $60 anyway even if you leave it stranded on there.

What I meant was that the 45 day period to count *later on* as a new customer may or may not start until the MB is off, but this has nothing to do with billing on the current account. You will not be billed just because of the MB still being on there. Plan and account are two different things. The MB is not part of your plan at all and does not affect its billing periods.

I strongly suggest call Account services (ask for "Cancellations") 1-888-211-4727 to get everything confirmed and save yourself the $60!

Or just port out the numbers including the MB if you can't stand talking to them. They are not the monsters people make them out to be though. They are a special much-more-sophisticated division of Sales that is much lower key than (many) pushy reps in TeleSales.
Got it. Thanks again. Will port out to Tmobile for now.

No it is not.

The 11/30/2019 date is shown at https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/offers/free-unlimited.html?ECID=vanity:1yearfree
"Savings until 11/30/19; then $60/mo. for line 1, $40/mo for line 2 and $20/mo/line for lines 3-5. Reqs. AutoPay (discount applied w/in 2 invoices), new account, bring your own eligible device & Sprint SIM card. Savings claim compared to AT&T Unlimited and Verizon Go Unlimited rate plans for 1 line as of 8/24/18. Video streams up to 480p, music up to 500 Kbps, gaming up to 2 Mbps. Data deprioritization during congestion. Other monthly charges apply.**"

It is also shown on DashBoard/Manage Plan/ See Details after you sign up and so can be readily verified.

They revise it periodically two or three months at a time to stay well ahead of the one year they promise in the promotional wording.

HAHAHAHAHHAHHA.... Unfortunately I am a current Sprint customer and I find your evaluation of the service wrong. IT'S NOT EVEN WORTH IT WHEN ITS FREE!!!! I MEAN THIS WHOLEHEARTEDLY!!!!!

I have service. 3 lines on the account. Always pay the bill off every month. Have an iPhone 8, Kyocera Duraforce Pro, and a Samsung Galaxy s9. Data sucks inside and outside wherever we are at. Especially if we are inside. If there's no wifi there then your screwed if you need reliability, performance, or stability. Well for my phone I CANNOT MAKE OR RECEIVE CALLS unless I am connected to WiFi calling. I can get text msgs and data but no calls. Sprint has checked this out with phone techs(plural), store techs(plural), manufacturers replacement, different SIM cards, and finally different devices. No o BEST SERVICEne has a damn clue. This is what you can surely expect from this service. They are flat out ridiculous and not worth it. I wish we had stayed with MetroPCS. They are on TMobiles network and EVERYONE KNOWS T-MOBILE IS THE BEST NOW. BEST SERVICE BEST PRICES ALL AROUND.....
Getting good cellular service is determined by many factors including location, the type of phone you have, and even the phone settings. There are plenty of people here (myself included) that have Sprint stories that are opposite of yours. Any carrier can have service issues and it looks like Sprint wasn't a good fit for you even for free. Luckily, there are three other carriers for you to choose from.

Will S7 Edge be eligible?
