Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Hey guys, I'm looking for a Sprint (or CDMA unlocked phone) to buy and activate on here - any good deals?

So far I'm going to have to start buying from Craigslist or something

Ill advised
i think CL is a great place to start.
u get to look at phone, and u can make sure is clean imei etc etc

sure there are tales of u gonna get robbed, jacked etc,
im not gonna dismiss them all, cause i am sure such things happen.
but is a safe bet that those types of incidents are the exception rather than the norm/
just be smart

i have bought / sold on CL for many years.
never a incident.

Can anyone confirm it is possible to get a second year free without waiting the full 45 days to be considered a new customer again?
If you don't want to wait for 45 days, you will have to Port in with another SSN(another family member). This way you will get another account number.

You get what you pay for. 'Sh!t data' should be Sprint slogan.

But...but Free is free..

It would help more if you let people know your general location and exactly what kind of phone you have.

Thanks. I understand, if you did not port out you will lose your number.

But, doesn't the terms of the free for one year means you will have to stay connected for 12 full months? Let's say, you port out on Nov 1, 2019. Maybe incur some pro-rated charges?

I am trying to figure out the best/clean exit plan after the 12 months of free has ended.

Thanks for any advice.

Unlocked Moto E5 Play, Moto G6 Play, or Moto G6. As long as they're the US versions they'll work on all US carriers.

There are a lot of phones in the Moto line that support GSM and CDMA and aren't too expensive. Look for an unlocked moto e4, that may be your cheapest option. I'm sure others can chime in.
Thanks for the inputs. E4 thats on swappa is more expensive than LG G5. Will the LG G5 support GSM? I tried looking this up but there is limited info..

A lot of these Moto and other generic phones will not support Sprint features such as Wifi Calling and soon VoLTE. Also Visual VoiceMail.

I know that people are seeing the Moto G6 Play rejected when purchased from the Boost web site, but if the ones from Walmart are still accepted, and that has been the indication, I would try those, especially if you can test out the IMEI in the store. Some have been able to do so and also got price match.

I speculate that Boost is blocking them only when shipping them themselves directly at retail, so that the Walmart and other ones may stay be ok. I cannot guarantee this but I personally would try it.

Failing that I would at least look for some Sprint model of something.

Are people really willing to write off Wifi Calling, Visual Voicemail, maybe soon VoLTE, maybe roaming so casually by buying generic Android models? Probably write off Wifi Hotspot too if a successor of this plan adds it back again? For example, the SWAC plans have Wifi Hotspot, or you might be able to get it in a retention offer (some people were promised it).

Of course, higher end universal models such as branded (but brand=switching) S8 are completely ok but much higher priced.
