Spoke with Sprint retentions but all they are offering is a laughable $10 off of regular bill of $60 but wont extend the free 1 year even if I upgrade. I saw someone else mentioning he was able to get an extension but not sure if Sprint offered him from their side or he asked for it and Sprint agreed.
nobody got an extension of the free byod deal. Retentions offered some people a new deal that requires buying/leasing a new phone and then getting statement credits that would cover the plan cost.

That may or may not be a good deal but it's not the same as getting free service with no requirement to buy a phone which is what makes this deal so good.

There's essentially no cost to get this byod plan if a person buys used phones at good prices. I've flipped two used phones and made a small profit on each one, as an example of how this plan can be better than free.

Talk about greed. 1 free year not enough for you.

I left Verizon after 17 years of being a loyal customer. If I moved to the equivalent unlimited on Verizon, I would have forfeited my corporate discount and I would have been at $180 a month for 2 devices. I moved to Sprint with this deal and have had no problems. It works where I need it (home & work) and I also do not need the Samsung Network Extender 2 so I can get cell calls in my home. Bye bye Verizon.

Two weeks ago I gave one of our Moto Z2's to a dear friend in Central Florida. He signed up BYOD. They have 10 lines on TMO. His coverage now on Sprint is so far and away better now that the whole group are looking for Sprint phones to come on board.
Not the case for everyone but surely is for Bradenton FL.

Sprint CEO is prostituting for the merger. LTE coverage is lacking, true.
What I just stated in previous post is also true though. They cannot even make phone calls at home with tmo unless it's WiFi call. Sprint is working beautifully for them. For $3.89 per...

Interesting data point! I guess you are right, they have to contact you to get decent retention offers. If you call them, the offers are minimal the first time at least. It is just standard negotiating tactics.

Sprint has offered from their side in the several cases posted.

In one case they sent a letter with a survey after the person initially contacted them. Then only after the person responded to the survey, they responded did they respond with an offer at $25 a month.

So I think youi were wise to call. It may put you on the list for later follow-up offers that get progressively better.

But it is not worth it anyway at $25 a month with no hotspot and no HD video streaming, because you can a vastly superior SWAC plan for just $30 a month with an employee referral (obtainable on reddit):

https://www.sprint.com/content/da...update.pdf

Advantage Club members get unlimited data, talk, and text nationwide. It's the same benefits as the Sprint Unlimited Plus plan for only $30/mo. with AutoPay.
All your TV in one place with Hulu
Music streaming with TIDAL Premium
15GB LTE Mobile Hotspot so you can keep all your devices connected
Streaming in HD
In Mexico & Canada, enjoy Unlimited talk & text and 10GB of 4G LTE data
Global Roaming in nearly 200 worldwide destinations.

HD video streams up to 1080p, music up to 1.5mbps, gaming at up to 8mbps. Data deprioritization during congestion. MHS, P2P and VPN reduced to 2G speeds after 15GB/mo.

OR, while you can, just sign up for another free year after 45 days off Sprint on the same SSN or right away if you can get a family member to apply for both of you using their SSN.

My family is using a prepaid red pocket plan, when i type in my imei and numbers i get this "Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device. Sign in to find this device on your account." does that mean our phones are banned from this deal if we use red pocket and imei permanently?

If it really includes the hotspot you are on a paid plan.

But the sales agents know nothing and hopefully just misinformed you.

Check DashBoard / Manage Plan / See Details to see what you really got.

By the way just fyi you do not have to order sims over the phone unless you want to, you can just buy the 4-in-one-sim pack at any Sprint corporate owned store (not a franchise necessarily) which has sims for all phones, including the new iPhones and Pixels. But ordering by phone is fine too.

No, it usually means the phone is either a Boost or other Sprint prepaid phone OR was previously on a Sprint mvno and was flagged as mvno-use only.

Search posts by LiterallyUnlimited in this thread for how to get this flag flipped in the latter case.
