Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I have activated more than 20 free lines. Never paid an activation fee. Maybe they start doing it now and refund after 2 billing cycles. The rep always tell you will waive the activation fee when you call to sign up.

Oh I will miss deal. move to another one.
Hope it come back next year.

He was being sarcastic.

People have been asking your question every other day for the past year and more and it is answered in the Wiki so it wears thin to have it repeated constantly.

The offer is open-ended.

Is this actually true? Thanks
The deal ended last yearLMAO

C'mom people click the sprint link and read the term if you dont brother to read the wiki, takes less than 1 mins to do that !!!

I have the impression that the people who have been charged it did online signups and the people who have not been charged it called in.

Does that fit?

They did that when I got my 2 Essential phone upgrade, they do charge $30 per line and did refund me bill credit on my bill after 60 days.

Given that the plan is $5 a month I end up still have a $25 credit in my account when I end my service in Aug,, They do send me a check for the credit after 6 weeks so no money lost.

I activate a new Free plan Saturday after sit out 45 days and no activation fee is charged

Yes I believe that's what the pattern is.

Most of us sign up by phone so we never see an activation fee.

I tried my two good phones that I used in the past with Ting LG G2 LS80 and LG G5 S992, but Sprint IMEI check for both show: " Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer".
When I try my broken iPhone SE that does not even power up, it passes Sprint check and says I can move forward ordering a SIM.
to work around this I am thinking, to go ahead with my iPhone BYOD, and then replace the account with my LG G2 or G5 some time later.
My concerns are - is Phone with new SIM power up needed to activate something there , and will they allow the swap later for LG model that is not eligible initially. Any thoughts?

(1) It is not necessary to be able to power it up.

BUT

(2) More likely the LG's are still recorded as active somewhere or it could be some other problem. Start by asking Ting to release them for Sprint postpaid (including flip mvno flag to SPCS).

Swapping on later only fixes a few issues. It will not solve most problems. So you might as well work on figuring out what the problem is. Try it in other checkers etc. Including https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...phone.html

Thanks. Ting changed the flags on both LG phones from PLBL to SPCS. Afterwards Sprint message changed from "Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device." to " Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer".
Since both LG G2 and G5 are not eligible for promo (based on uef3FNT.png posted in wiki) that is logical.
But can I switch to one of these LGs afterwards that is not clear.

Where is your port in number, is it still with Ting? If yes you need to port it to someone else (NON Sprint MVNO) H20, Tmobile, ATT ... etc

BTW, these info is all in the wiki. so read it please

Yes I know it may well be the phone number and that's why I gave him the other link to check which does not ask for the phone number.
SharpFlower370 did you do what I suggested and run it in the other checker whose link I posted for you?

Here it is again:
https://www.sprint.com/en/landing...phone.html

As I posted, you cannot determine whether you would be able to swap it until you determine what the problem is first.

I read wiki multiple times, but it does not cover the topic/question of whether
I can to swap (following activation on eligible phone) from promo eligible phone (such as iPhone SE A1724 ) to promo ineligible phone.
2 LG phones are not with any carrier - not used for several months. Last time they were used with Ting, but I cancelled these accounts, and phone numbers are gone too as I did not care for them. Ting flagged them to SPCS as I requested.
I can port in from Google Voice or from Tmobile but it does NOT even reach that stage, because when I do initial Sprint 1 year promo check for LG G2 or G5 - those are not eligible. They are not listed eligible for promo in wiki as well.
iPhone SE A1724 is eligible, so assuming I activate on iPhone, setup Sprint account, etc.... Now say 2 weeks after - can I swap my account to promo ineligible phone? Thank you.

YES this is what I use, and that is what those generated messages:
With PLBL glag set: "Sorry, but our records show you still owe Sprint for this device.
After Ting changed today to SPCS flag: " Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer".
PS.It is easy to to reach out to Ting even if you are no longer their customer.
