Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I have searched the forums and this thread, and have found very little information on something that I'm hoping I can get some help with here.

I've been on the BYOD plan for awhile. Mine expires in January.

I was wondering what retention offers people have had? My situation is this:

I would like the best deal to upgrade my phone. I don't care too much about what plan I go on as my work will pay 80% of my wireless/data charges and don't mind paying a bit of a bill, but I want to get an iphone XR or XS. The SWAC plan is interesting with Tidal/Hulu included since my Spotify student just expired though.

I did see one thing about a retention offer if someone upgraded their phone but haven't seen much other info. Does anyone know of any other thread about that, or knows what types of deals I may get? I'm even open to other providers, just looking for my best option with this particular situation.

What are people using these days to get numbers on another carrier to port in? Recently discovered T-Mobile Prepaid wants a minimum $10 load before giving you a number (even if you have your own SIM and call in, not just at physical stores), don't see any penny SIM deals on ATT prepaid, etc.

For the best retention offer ($25 a month), you have to wait for them to contact you.. If you contact them, it will just be next to nothing. But calling them now will at least get you on their list for later contact by them maybe, including after you leave, with better offers. You have to play hardball and be willing to walk away to get the best offers, in any negotiation.

However, MUCH better yet, get the SWAC plan which is a far better deal at $30.including 15 GB hotspot, Tidal, Hulu, HD Streaming, (Or $50 for even more!) You'll need to be a new customer which means be off Sprint first for 45 days or use a different SSN. AND you need an employee referral.which you can get on reddit. https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/swac https://www.sprint.com/content/da...update.pdf

OR you can get another year of THIS FREE plan as long as it is still offered by getting off Sprint for 45 days to qualify as a new customer again or using a different SSN.

$3.95

Or a Google Voice number $3 to port out.(see Wiki).

I just got sim card from sprint, activated online and got a Pin etc...said activation will take 10 minutes. It's been a hour I still can't get my service to work. and at the bottom of the activation page this is what it say:
If you purchased, Amazon Prime
Activate your Amazon Prime account
You'll get a text message. Follow the link and complete your account setup.
Make sure you're disconnected from Wi-Fi and that your Sprint device is connected to the Sprint network.

Does this include Amazon Prime? how long do I have to wait till the service is good to go.

My phone still saying Registering the device with the network. Thanks.

It is good to go almost right away PROVIDED

(1) The port completed - check wiki for how to check port status. Call the port status number.
(2) You have gone through all the usual resets, power cycles, profile updates for your phone to pick up a new activation. Since you are doing BYOD, you should know these or research them.

Amazon Prime has not been mentioned so check you are on the right plan after you set up your online account. But that is probably just generic text.

After about 2 hours on call with Sprint CS, was finally able to get this done on my spare S7 edge. I have a couple of questions to those who have been on the service for a while

- Can i take off the Sprint SIM card and put it on my unlocked IPhone 8 plus?
- Is Wifi sharing disabled on this plan?

Sim cards stay with the activated phone. No swapping. Details in wiki.

This plan has no hotspot and a hotspot plan cannot be added.

WiFi sharing(Hot Spot) is not included on this plan.
If iPhone 8+ model A1864 you would need new SIM card ending in 416Q or 426Q and swap device to your line. If A1897, it does not have cdma bands so not eligible for Sprint.

the day after you port your Number to another carrier, someone will call you at that Number with an offer. I highly doubt any offer will have the Xr or Xs.

Thanks. I know about SWAC and I'd really like that since my work pays most of my plan. Would like to add Tidal/Hulu instead of paying for Spotify/Hulu.

But does SWAC have any phone upgrade deals? That is my main concern. I'd like a deal on the phone.

"Advantage Club prices are the same as national consumer prices. For specific device prices, visit sprint.com
Upgrade eligibility follows the Sprint Upgrade policy.
Visit sprint.com/upgrades for details.
For more information on Sprint Flex, visit sprint.com/flex"

Maybe you or others here can interpret that better than I can. Or for any fine points you could ask on reddit.

It is not a BYOD-centric program (though you can do BYOD on it if you want). You can buy phones on it just as you could on any regular Sprint paid plan. That should include special offers I think but I am not 100% sure that different classes of customers do not get different special offers. I think I read that sometimes there are special offers just for SWAC customers. Maybe someone here knows all about this and can post.

They even include Amazon Prime on the $50 plan (since your employer is paying most of the cost you might consider it) and "for a limited time, you can get Uber credits up to $20 a month for 12 months so long as you remain on the Premium plan." - That Uber part may or not still be there, I do not know.

Those one plus 6T deals at t-mobile may get my business instead. Better company, better devices, seems logical.
The cheapest unlimited plan at Tmobile is $70 for single line, I pay Sprint $4 It is only logical to go to Tmobile only if Tmobile is 17 Times better than SprintLMAO
