Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Sim cards stay with the activated phone. No swapping. Details in wiki.

This plan has no hotspot and a hotspot plan cannot be added.
Thanks. But i thought i'll explore a bit and enabled hotspot on my S7edge by following this guide. Had to downgrade to Nougat. But for a spare phone which will mostly be a hotspot device, I think its ok.

So, I called 866-782-8777 and the agent put me on hold while she asked about the expiration of this offer. She said that it was not ending on October 31st.

Has anyone heard anything definitive that confirms or contradicts that?

Reps and "insiders" have proved many times that they know absolutely nothing reliable about expiry dates (by giving wrong answers right up to the hour of supposed expiry), but why would you think it would expire today in any case?

The end of savings date is currently 11/30/2019 which appears to allow for continuing the offer to 11/30/2018 while still giving people a full year.

They continually list a pending end-of-offer date for formality sake as being the end of the current month (which would be today 10/31) and have done so every month since the offer began, but that has never meant anything and as a matter of fact they have ended some versions of the offer suddenly, earlier than the then-current end of month, anyway.

I suppose that with the holidays coming up, you can make a case that it would be a logical time to end or change the offer. But even if they did, it could be 11/3 or any other date they felt like anyway. In fact, changes to the offer have tended to occur in early to mid-month.

Just to mention, corporate Sprint stores charge only $2.99 for a sim when they do charge so I am not sure how much concern it would be if they do charge.
.
Franchised stores (which are the majority) are not bound by this though at all and will often charge much more if they sell them at all, so best stay away from them.

I bought exactly that and I love the G5. Great cameras, the wide angle is great for landscapes and indoors when you can't get back far enough from your subjects.. I don't think bootloop is a big issue but you can always buy a warranty for a few dollars then you're not risking much.

Gps can be an issue so I would test that while you can still return it.
Thank you. For $74 I can care less as long as the phone works great on Sprint. At the end of July next year it will be my back up phone.

Did you buy the G5 new or used? Also does the phone get really hot? I hate that, like my nexus 6p got hot all the time from doing the most basic things but I think the SD810 chip had a large factor in that.

Bought it used on Ebay. Only time I noticed it being warm was during initialization when a lot of stuff is getting installed/configured.

I recommend getting a case that protects the camera. Also you can use CStark gcam with it along with the stock camera app. He made it work with the standard and wide angle cameras.

What a big mistake switching to this plan has been. No such thing as FREE. I went from a perfectly working Cricket plan to two days of being on hold with Sprint Customer Service Hell, first couple HOURS were them failing at transferring my number (ended up having to pay Cricket to change it to a different area code), now, it's getting zero service and they are out of ideas once again

Thanks! Does the phone work great on Sprint? That my biggest issue I'm having with my unlocked att iphone se as it's missing band 41 and I'm tried of having no service in my home and being kicked to 3g in my home development. I would like to think having a sprint phone would give me excellent coverage.

I just did the switch all through the online link (including ordering the SIM and activation). Everything went perfect without a hitch. Most people have a horrible experience doing it over the phone.

I think it works well. It does have band 41.

Does the online link work if not ordering the SIM, just activation?
