I thought I remembered reading something about people possibly on eBay selling SIM cards with email delivery with the SIM card info so you do not need to wait for it to come VIA mail. I can't seem to find it anywhere. Does anyone know what I'm referring to?
Yeah it was on Ebay briefly before being kicked off but it is risky to use a fake sim card ICCID because Sprint might consider it fraud and ban you. There is an industry wide crackdown now underway on fraudulent phones that involves law enforcement too.

Better just stop by any CORPORATE-OWNED-ONLY Sprint store and buy the 4 in 1 sim kit which covers all phones (not the obsolete 3 in one kit unless it is an older phone), or the specific sim you need if you know it.

I think I lost some brain cells talking to the Sprint people.
Got rejected in September and told to re-apply in 60 days.
Got a letter that said the rejection was they couldn't verify my identity and to go to the store to do it.
Went to the store to verify my identity.
Came back to call and set up the BYOD plan. Got rejected again and told to try again in 60 days.
Called their credit department and they said the 60 day counter was reset so I have to wait even though I fixed the problem that was the cause of the first rejection.

Sprint is sad. They're competing w/ Freedompop for worst customer service. One of my Freedompop lines hsa 0% data used for this cycle but it still says I'm over usage from the last cycle and they won't let you submit a trouble ticket unless you buy their VIP plan.
Can't decide which company is worst now...lol

Fenton, Emphasis on what hodaddy says: DO NOT let them touch your plan. Do not give them your Sprint account or phone number for that purpose.
Thanks, guys. I checked my plan for that line and it appears to be correct still. The Apple rep did tell the Sprint rep that he just wanted a swap, so maybe that helped. I'll keep an eye on it.

any one able to sign up for this free plan using verizon iphone xr?

If you did, what and where do you get the compatible sprint sim?

Just check device compatibility on sprint website by clicking the deal link. Get a free sprint SIM card at apple store. Just tell them you are switching carrier.

You did it wrong. You did not need to wait for the letter either.
If you had posted here in the first place we could have told you how to do it right. You probably did not even need to go to a store if you had called the credit dept. DIRECTLY right off.
The correct way is:
(1) Get a reference number when you call the Credit Dept the first time (which you can do right away) if they do tell you to go to a store
(2) When you go the store (go to a corporate owned store ONLY as franchises could not care less),have THEM set up an EMPTY account and get the account number. At this point you are now credit-approved
(3) Now call the number ending in 8777, tell them you are already credit-approved, and give them the pre-approved account number.

If you cannot make any progress now email [email protected] (a Sprint VP) and she will fix it up hopefully.

Ok good.

They seem to have gotten better at it now and are not converting so many plans to paid now as they used to when replacing phones.

Sounds like they didn't set up an empty account when I went to verify my identity :-(

Sprint sucks with their network anyway. And now it's their customer service .they are sending free sprint router for the better network - just like 90's people had a network device booster. Lol . Thanks god i am not with them . Crap Phone company.
Or maybe you don't know what a wiki is nod

Did you have to wait for 45 days to get back on 2nd year ? I was with sprint and been out for 30 days now and the rep said I am not eligible for this promo.
Yeah, I did have to wait. Promotion supposedly ends maybe early mid/mid November, but might be extended again (as it has been several times since summer 2017)....

Anybody on Sprint can confirm that simultaneous voice and data (Calling Plus) is working on the the iPhone? It was supposed to be launched in 2017 on limited basis and full rollout in 2018. This is an iPhone only question. (It was always on Android). Looking for first hand experience (not Google) Thanks.

iPhone 6S happens to have Sprint CDMA and LTE support in the hardware in all carrier variants.
You would not have been so lucky with AT&T iPhone models 6, 7, 8 or X, even if unlocked.

CallingPlus is obsolete and has been replaced by VoLTE.

See https://www.reddit.com/r/Sprint/c...1211_beta/
for details and lots of first-hand reports. It requires iPhone 8 or above (for now at least), is available only in VoLTE-enabled areas initially, and requires a developer profile. Details are there.

Thanks. I read the whole thread to link you posted. VoLTE on Sprint is only in soft launch and has only rolled out to a few markers with no ETA for a national rollout. I called Sprint and the reps will not say which markets or give any timeline because its still in testing....sigh. So pretty much the same situation as Calling Plus (if you have an iPhone).
