Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I just left to metro PCS and then had my wife create a Sprint account and all of us move back to Sprint. I got all 5 lines setup, but now We also wanted to switch a one of the phone's to a phone we bought on Craig's list. When I call they say that I can't change phones for 120 days

Is there a workaround?

Yes.
Ignore what TeleSales says - they deal only with selling phones and services.

Instead, do an IMEI swap with technical support.

However first check that the IMEI is eligible in the checker and get the CORRECT sim for it. Do not attempt to use a random sim in it. Read the wiki. If you attempt to do it all wrong or look for too much hand-holding you are going to mess it up. Use the term "IMEI swap" and not "upgrade" or "change phone."

you can swap phones you own anytime. The 120 days is if you want to get a different phone from Sprint.

Can you swap in an iPhone XR (paid off) on the free plan?
Quote from Rolanda_Shaniqua :
If the phone is compatible with Sprint and you have the right sim card for it, yes.
Quote from dos25 :
You need a compatible model which has CDMA bands. I believe it's A1894. It should be carrier unlocked either.
There is only one U.S. model which is A1894 so the answer is simply Yes. There are no U.S. models of this phone that lack CDMA or are otherwise incompatible with Sprint.

Don't call -- just do a regular online chat for "device swap" and give them new phone IMEI + SIM ICCID

Make sure you have the correct SIM part number for the new phone -- you can't just use any SIM

Well, you do realize that there have been many of us on this plan for well over a year now (having signed up a second time round after the first year)?

You're right. There is no free lunch. I pay $15.25 total per month for five lines with unlimited everything. Definitely not free.

Does it cost any fee add a second phone other than the monthly fee?
Can I add additional line online? or Do I have to call?

Each line will have it's own taxes and fees amounting to about $5 or less. You have to call to add additional lines and, like the first line, the number needs to be ported in from a non-Sprint carrier. Sprint does not issue any new phone numbers for this deal. Details on how to get a new number to port in to Sprint are in the wiki.

Does Sprint charge activation fee for additional line?

The $30 activation fee is waived if you call in. If you do it all online (not recommended), they charge you the activation fee and then credit it back for you in two billing cycles. A lot of these kinds of details are in the wiki for this deal and in the FAQ for this offer on the Sprint website.

Sprint does list S9/+ as BYOD with software update due on 11/7/18. I would be curious to know if Imei passes now or if after 11/7. If passes now you would most likely have to wait for update or flash sprint or unbranded firmware(if possible), best to probably wait though.
Awesome! I will be joining you guys soon on Sprint hopefully. Just checked on the Sprint website and the Imei passes now. It did not before. I am on Mint currently.

I will wait until 11/7 but get all my ducks in a row now to make sure it all goes smoothly. Thanks for the infoSmilie
