Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

So happy to have got on this deal. used a google voice number to open a new account but now I also have a $15/month sprint account.

Is it possible to swap phone numbers? I need the account that I pay $15/month number on this free account. I want to keep both accounts but swap numbers.

I don't have a spare sprint phone, but probably borrow a phone if needed. I am also not attached to the google voice number.

I checked FAQ but did not see any mention of my situation. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

The AT&T Samsung Galaxy S9 requires SIM card Part SIMOLW406TQ. However, this SIM card is not used by an iPhones. Any way to get it free since the Apple store would not have it then? I asked several Sprint stores and they require a cost. Or does anyone know a specific Sprint store who can just give them for free?

Thanks. The camera review of G7 isn't that great. V40 is super big in size.
Any other suggestions. Willing to spend $750 +/- and want a great camera with screen size no more than 6in
The Pixel 1,2 or 3 if you want a very good camera.

Since switching from T-Mobile my GPS has me all over the place often miles away and messages I receive are randomly broken up midword and sometimes even out of order. Anyone else experience this and know a fix? Using a pixel XL.
With regards to your GPS try recalibrating it by doing the number 8 motion. With the text dropping try doing a restart and or device config update and or the *#*#72786#*#* drill and hope that it will fix it. This happened to one of my Pixels but all those didn't fix it. Luckily I have another spare Pixel and sold the problematic one to someone who's happy using it with t-mobile.

Update: Just wanted to follow up on the offer I received from retentions. I checked my dashboard this mornig to see what plan I ended up with.

Unlimited - Bring Your Phone - Unlimited Talk, Text and Data. $30/line/mo up to 5 lines. 50GB Mobile Hotspot. International Text from US. Eligible for $5 per line/per month AutoPay discount.
It looks like a version of the Unlimited Plus they are currently offering, except it does not look like I have Tidal/Hulu. I am not interested in those services so it's ok. On the other hand, I do not have to have 5 lines for the deal and I do get the 50GB Mobile hotspot, which is what I really wanted.

So far so good. I plan on keeping our two main phones on this account, while having to secondary phones on my husband's free year account he opened 9/2018.
Good job!

Have 20 lines for the family (former SERO) spread out on 4 accounts due to Sprint working so well for us here in Florida (occasionally roaming free on Verizon).
Folks have been inquiring about reliable phones in the $100 range for this free BYOD promo.
Here is a list of our budget daily drivers that work great for us:
1) Nexus 5X (model LG H790 only)
beware of H791 & H798 that do not have Sprint bands
2) Moto E4 Plus (model XT 1775)
3) Nexus 6 (model XT1103 only)
beware of XT1100 that do not have Sprint bands
4) Nexus 5 (model LG-D820 only)
beware of D821 that do not have Sprint bands
5) iPhone 6 (CDMA/Verizon model A1549 only)
beware of other variants that may not have all Sprint bands.
6) Moto X pure edition (model XT1575)
7) Moto G4 (model XT1625)
We always get free T-MO SIMs from an Apple Store when SS#'s are rotated for newly created 2nd year accounts, then physically insert the SIM into a spare phone to confirm the Pay-Go port-in was successful with never any funds loaded to the T-MO account.
Many thanks to the dedicated contributors of this thread-
y'all are indeed appreciated!
Best family meeting we ever had last year when we agreed to do this deal, saving over $11 grand thus far.
Where can I buy these phones? I think used only only

I do not know if the two lines are under the same account number and the same SSN or not. (You can have both the free plan and KickStart lines under one account).

Either way, a tech support rep might swap the numbers for you if you demonstrate you are the account holder for both.

However, there is always some small element of risk, even when you port a number in on top of the existing number on a single plan.

Quite a few people have done the latter successfully, but more than one lost their plan when the rep messed it up (or maybe the user gave confusing instructions) and they ended up on a paid plan.

Also, if you start asking about it, they will start noting your accounts and when reps see a bunch of notes, they are hesitant to act in case it may be contrary to advice that may have been given by another rep.

I think the safest thing would be just to move the phones rather than the numbers, using a third phone, and just do imei swaps. This is easy, will be a lot less hair raising and is guaranteed to work. It should only take 10 minutes with a borrowed phone.

Sprint has Lte Advanced now. Is that included for this plan, and is that a possibility on the iPhone 7?
Sprint has not limited LTE capabilities by plan in the past and I doubt it will now.
However iPhone 7 does not even have HPUE, and other Sprint hardware-related capabilities.

I doubt anything less than XS/XR would be able to take advantage of the higher performance.

I recommend this as the cheapest new phone you can get for this Sprint plan. I got it last month and have no problems with it.

I am porting over from AT&T and I ordered the SIM online. Which one of these options should I follow because the Wiki is not very clear.

1. go on https://sprint.com/activatenow to activate the SIM card THEN call 866-437-1818 to port?

or

2. Call 866-437-1818 to port over from AT&T with the SIM unactivated because the SIM will get activated during the porting process?

or

3. Only use sprint.com/activatenow and that will take care of the porting process and I don't have to call the porting department number?
