Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

With the right phone, it should be ok now anywhere Sprint OR TMobile is ok provided you have the right updates with roaming enabled.

But only some models have got these updates, mainly newer phones and especially Sprint-branded models.

In the case if iPhones, VoLTE will be available on iPhone 8 and up only (already out in beta), and it may be that the best roaming will have the same requirement.

Once Apple releases IOS 12.1.1 which could be any time now, there will be a deluge of posts I am sure, although VoLTE itself will only be rolled out gradually by area.
What people are seeing now id that some phones (including my S8+) will switch to TMO band 4 as soon as the phone would otherwise drop to Sprint 3G, whereas others will be satisfied with a weak Sprint 3G signal. It is probably the phones that are eligible for VoLTE that are getting the better treatment.
After 100MB of roaming, Sprint can (decide to) cancel you, according to the Terms and Conditions of this plan.
Or, is that not the case in practice?

TMobile roaming is technically Extended area and is free and unlimited.
It is not counted in the roaming allocation so you can just keep an eye on your roaming total so ensure you are not roaming on some other carrier.

I had a Google pixel 2 xl and a Sprint Moto z2 force. Both had bad speeds this past weekend.
Well the Pixels in particular have a Verizon orientation that leaves them out of many Sprint features.

You have roaming enabled, right?

But I am mainly talking about the (hopefully near) future or those with certain phones now.

If you knew the band you were on there might be some ways of forcing roaming.

Good to know.
In a dense urban area where AT&T and Verizon are also dominant, how can one keep an eye/ensure that one is not roaming on them? Is there an app? Does Sprint select to roam on Tmobile first or can one exclude the others when roaming?

TMobile has priority over others.

You can run an app like SignalCheck Pro paid version (which is best) or LTE Discovery free version and you can display the band you are on (continuously with SignalCheckPro at least)

I leave roaming on and the only roaming I ever see is on TMobile band 4 or 2. It would be a very remote contingency that it would have to roam to still another carrier and I do not worry about it. On my S8+, it drops to band 4 LTE now in those spots where previously it would drop to Sprint 3G. Not all phones get that treatment. Some phones (maybe most for now) will still drop to Sprint 3G and only roam where there is no Sprint LTE or 3G at all.

A few people in some areas are having trouble keeping track and are running into some unintended AT&T roaming and running out of roaming quota as a result (Sprint will just cut off roaming when you run out of quota, nothing beyond that in practice) . Sprint will hopefully improve things further. Right now you cannot limit roaming to just TMO.

So I am checking ebay for iPhone SE A1723 and found 2 units that have listed IMEI address or seller agreed to provide it.
Both said "Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer". A third one I checked said it owns monyes but why I am getting this error for the other 2. What does it mean and how to pick a good iPhone SE for this promo. Thanks

I am trying to port my boost number to t-mobile and then to sprint. I got my tmobile digital sim from eBay but when I call in to port to rep says I must first add money. Anyone else run into this?

I talked to a rep because the phone required and activation code, which I do not have. - thanks

If checking the the third said "You owe Sprint..." that usually means the phone was on a Sprint mvno earlier and needs the mvno flag flipped if you want ti use it on postpaid (search LiterallyUnlimited posts in this thread).

The first two may still be active on Sprint mvno's (or on Sprint).

You can ask.

So if a phone is still active on Sprint, it will not be eligible for this plan?

I believe that is correct. Not until you get it off, that is. It may also be active on a Sprint mvno.

Try the Ting or Tello checker.

Also if you call the number ending in 8777 they may be able to check.

FYI, (not sure if this has been mentioned already) I deferred Sprint customer support sending me the $2.99 + $10 SIM card through the mail since i have a Sprint store right across the street.

I went there after the initial call, asked for a SIM without activation - because apparently they can't activate in-store or something - and then went home with the shiny new SIM and called the 2nd number to activate. Worked fine. Then I did the whole process again for my girlfriend who's now on her own line too. Not a cent paid out of pocket so far.

I have had the Sprint service since July 2017. REnewed in August this year (when hotspot was still available)..

Was in Charlotte, NC over the weekend and the data speeds were horrible. Was getting 200 kbps download and 0 - 5 kbps upload in the Bank of America building in downtown Charlotte. The only time I regretted having Sprint.
I'm in Charlotte on Verizon and coverage /speeds are great. I want to jump to sprint because I'm cheap but this is what I fear. Others I know share the same experience as you with sprint. :/
