Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

So it's been more than 24 hours since I paid off my Pixel 3 but the Sprint site still shows not eligible.

Anyone have a clue about this or in a similar fix?
Mmmmm... Mine became eligible almost right away. Double check to make sure your payment went through.

If i get the tmobile sim from ebay to port my number out because I'm Done with my free first year, does that close my sprint account, or do I need to do something else too?

If you port out all numbers on the account, the account will close automatically. Obviously you can verify that afterward by calling or chat..

I will be porting a number from Verizon and using my Note 8, ordered the sim over the phone with free shipping. i will just be waiting for it to arrive. Can I still add lines to my account and porting it from Tmobile? i want to add 2 lines and do the BOGO for XR phones.

Fwiw, I had Sprint for 15 years. Was in the boonies near one of their towers and at first it was pretty good. Over the years though they've been unable to provide bandwidth in high traffic areas. You'll have full LTE and not even be able to load a basic text html page. Even more funny, my brother is on a discounted service that piggy-backs off sprint, and he'll have reasonable speeds while I'm lagging to death. I don't have the fake unlimited plan either, I pay per gig for full service up to 40gig monthly, so it's not just myself getting throttled. Between that and the recurring billing issues, I've wanted to switch for a long time, but they've held me hostage in various ways throughout the years where it'll literally cost thousands to leave (moving a whole family plan). Finally the stars aligned a few days ago and I've started the process to move to Verizon. I don't know what the future holds, but for the first time in a long time, I have hope.

If I'm reading correctly, you took advantage of the Best Buy Pixel 3 deal and moved it on over to your Sprint BYOD Free Year after paying off... did you port over to a new line or did you call Sprint CS to swap your device to the new Pixel? If you swapped, would you mind sharing the steps you took? I'm assuming you activated on Verizon, paid off Pixel via the app, then swapped... did you have to call Verizon to then cancel the line after? Thank you!

Just purchased the SIM cards for 2 iphones. I tried the eligibility on one that was not paid off yet, and said it was not eligible. I paid it off, tried the eligibility again, then said it was eligible. So make sure your device is paid off. They must have someway to know.

Looking forward to trying the service. All cable and phone companies suck, so I'm not expecting much.

I read the wiki but I still have a couple of questions:

1. I am an existing Sprint customer. When I call to activate my T-Mobile SIM card, what plan should I tell the customer service rep that I want to join? Does T-Mobile charge any type of activation or early termination fee?

2. If I port out of Sprint, join T-Mobile, and then use my wife's SSN to re-join Sprint, will I be able to keep my phone number? The wiki says that the answer is "yes," but doesn't it seem strange that Sprint would allow a different person (my wife) to use my phone number? That seems like a major red flag. Has anyone encountered this type of problem?

Thanks!

Try the IMEI on the Ting and Tello checkers. Then go back and check it on sprint.

No problem at all. They don't care what number you bring over as long as it's from a competitor. Answer to Q 1 is covered in the wiki. Pay as you go plan.

Normally the wait is 120 days. I would use chat to verify the exact date you could upgrade.
