Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

If I'm reading correctly, you took advantage of the Best Buy Pixel 3 deal and moved it on over to your Sprint BYOD Free Year after paying off... did you port over to a new line or did you call Sprint CS to swap your device to the new Pixel? If you swapped, would you mind sharing the steps you took? I'm assuming you activated on Verizon, paid off Pixel via the app, then swapped... did you have to call Verizon to then cancel the line after? Thank you!
Hehe, your assumptions are all correct. First check your imei # to make sure it is eligible. It became eligible a few minutes after payoff. Get a sim card from Best BUY $5, SIMGLW416TQ. Then you can swap by doing online chat. Need to port out Verizon number today but planning to go to Walmart to see if I can buy a couple more phones to sell.

Thanks for the info. So sounds like to effectively cancel the Verizon line, you plan to port it out to some other service (and maybe just park it there?) I'm also considering buying the SIM and calling Sprint to add another free BYOD line... but then I'd have to call back later to remove my 1st BYOD line.

I ported 1 line to Sprint fine in June. Later I added another 2 lines no problem. Today I try to add another line and I'm on my 5th representative who is transferring me to my 6th representative since none of them are able to add another line. Beware of awful service. I've literally been on the phone for over 2 hours and counting.

I hate sprint with a passion. They are the worst, but you can use that to your advantage. I would keep calling back over and over and each representative would give me a $30 credit for bad internet coverage. Wasting my time but service was free each month.

You can always use H20 wireless, pay as you go, to port dummy numbers, numbers that you don't need. H20 sims are $1 at Target. ¢10 at Amazon but more than a week shipping, $10 Best Buy.

It is advisable to purchase a branded S9 because they can do brand switching, meaning all sprint extras (visual voicemail, calling plus, etc.) will work upon insertion of sprint sim.

This has been discussed recently in this thread. Search 'brand switching'. The unlocked version will work but you may need to do some workarounds for all the Sprint features.

Comintel is very knowledgeable on the subject and may be along to explain further.

When this promo is unavailable, I think it's happened a time or two but I could be wrong, are you able to still add another line to your account if you sign up right now?

I had Project Fi service on a new Moto G6. I ported my number over to Google Voice so that Project Fi could flip the MVNO flag to make my Moto G6 eligible for service. I then checked the IMEI on Sprint and was told that I qualify for the plan. I signed up and today I received my SIM card (the OLW416Q). I activated online per the instructions, inserted the SIM card in my Moto G6, and kept getting "Invalid SIM card" error messages.

I called Sprint and they told me it is because I need to wait for my phone number to port. Does this make any sense? In the past, I've always been given a temporary number while my phone ported. Is the port even the reason for the invalid SIM error message? It seems like I see people getting the same message when they are sent the wrong SIM card for their phone.

Can anyone help with some info so I can direct Sprint? Thanks!

google voice is considered a land line, land line takes 3-5 days, sooner if you get lucky.

ya but i doubt if that seller do 2 day shipping. some people need to port the next day so they are better off going to Target.
