Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

If you do go to a store, everyone agrees it is best to go to a Sprint Corporate owned store only.
I went to the Sprint store today. They had the sku changed and now it works. Yay. Now when I get done with Total Wireless I can have phone moved to Sprint. THANKS for all your help.

They kept getting some ownership error. I have no idea why. Told them I bought off Swappa and have the Best Buy receipt and that the seller nor I have ever been on Sprint. Guy called somewhere overseas and got the sku changed and now it shows it will work on Sprint. He asked me if I wanted him to put me on free plan but I told him I'm no Total Wireless right now but after that plan to go to Sprint.

Why can't I activate in-store. It would be a lot easier than reading all these pages to figure it all out.

Wow that's great to hear! So there were quite a few wrinkles there to say the least.

Actually it's conceivable that a corporate store might be able to help you activate on the Free plan (some people have in fact been helped there to do so), but it has just proved highly risky. The stores do not offer this plan to customers who walk in the door and are not trained on it and get no commission for working on it. This is a stealth marketed plan that is supposed to be "click or call only". There is no money to pay any commissions. As a result, quite a few people who let stores "help" them with the free plan.have ended up with messed up plans that have taken weeks of effort to fix up. Some people were even unable to sort out the mess and gave up and ported out.

You don't really have to read all that much. A lot of it is oriented to newbies / naive consumers.

I had the worst time trying to get this deal. Originally I checked the website to see if my phone and number qualify, they did. Got to the page where it asks for my SSN and bday, and when I entered the info, it tells me it can't complete the transaction and to call the Sprint number. Called the number, the first CSR told me I need to buy the Sprint SIM card first before calling them. I thought that they would process that and send it to me? Called again, and got someone to start processing my info to make an account. Bear in mind both CSR are from India and I have a very difficult time understanding either of them. Practically on the phone with the 2nd CSR for 40 minutes while they run my credit check, etc...only to be told my app was rejected and I need to reapply in 60 days. My credit is in the 800+ so I can't imagine the reason for the rejection. When asked they said I already have an existing account, which is peculiar since I never had a Sprint account in my life. I had to end the call since I had to go elsewhere so now I'm back to square one. Any suggestions?

Just got my line with this deal. Online application told me I had to call in and when I did it went pretty smooth. Got SIM card next day and activated my liine. Number ported in 15 minutes. Service sucks compared to Verizon but for free, I'll take it for a year and then switch to whomever has the best deal at the time. .

Call credit department directly and see if they can help (phone # in wiki). Some have had luck some have not. Also, I'd get a free credit report from all 3 bureaus just because Sprint said you had an account w/ them.

Tried to sing up for this. Purchased the sim and chose the Walgreens option. Turned out that FedEx refused to ship it to the Walgreens and wanted me to pick it up from their facility. Even though they had sent me a text saying my package was ready for pickup at Walgreens. Had to spend 30 mins on the phone being transferred over and over and explaining the same story just to get $3 WHOLE dollars back. I'll take that as a sign and actually pay a better company for better services.
