Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Sprint has the worst coverage as it's CEO said. Speed is snail slow. I am also on T-Mobile, speed is over 100mbs anytime in my living area.
Sprint free plan is not free, 3-line costs around $15...
No kidding. They have always had pee poor coverage, even when they were rolling out 4G years ago in San Francisco and about 75% of the city could not even get 3G. The only area that got 4G (and it was pathetically slow) was the Marina district. Dumped them and fast forward to this free year plan and once again it's very poor coverage, dropped calls, and no GPS signal. Even free it's not worth it for me. I see little difference in speeds with At&t and Verizon (pretty slow), but T-Mo and MetroPCS are the speed leaders by far with network coverage that's getting close to At&t. Mint is excellent value for a mvno with speeds usually at 50-60mbps. I used the Sprint number to port out, thankfully.

Only one thing which I disagree with you is that the GPS signal has nothing to do with the cellphone carriers. The DoD sends strong GPS signal to Russia, not want to serve American first

They always have used the number ending in 8777 for numerous promotions and plans. It is just one of Sprint's major TeleSales call centers.

The reps on that number handle about 20 or 30 plans.

That is a good part of the reason those reps often give incorrect information about plan details (they get various plans nixed up in their mind) and occasionally put people on a paid plan who actually wanted the free plan.

No signal / poor signal issue inside a building or elevator is an issue for me. Faced that issue recently on one of my numbers (Costco TMO XR deal).
However the phone deals they have and the competition they give to other carriers is great.

I just bought an unlocked note 9, currently have no cell provider. I got the boost sim pack. Can I just pick a number from number barn and sign up for the sprint free year? Or do I have to sign up to tmobile, att, etc for a short period then switch? Wasn't sure if a number from number barn is considered a competitor?
