Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Question regarding the $30 fee is done online, If it's credited back after 2 months. then you have to pay for it the first month of your service since it will be a charge. Is that so, and if it is, then would you not have a credit sitting on your account of $30 on your account in 60 days? that may not be desirable to some?

My main thing is when I ordered the sim card through the free BYOB plan page and through my cash back site, it worked and the cash back is already posted to me account, Don;t like that there will be a $30 credit on the account after the fact? I see someone called/chat and they put the credit on the account.
I agree it is undesirable to many to have to wait for the $30 credit and then when you do get it, have to use it up over time.

Yes you would have to pay while waiting for it.

So sure, call/chat and see if they will give it to you right away. They have refused to do it early in some cases. In other cases, they have been willing to give a credit then and there (probably because that rep was not aware the Sprint offer says you have to wait for it). And who knows, there might be chance you get it twice.

I'm trying to bring over 2 LG X-Charge phones from Xfinity mobile but when I enter the IMEI number online it says "This phone can't be activated online"

I assumed I could use these phone for Sprint since it's on the list of phones that would work.... Do I need to call Sprint?

I tried to do the same but Xfinity Mobile's X-Charges don't work on Sprint network. Please post if this works for you and I will try again.

So I ported in the afternoon and it went well but I was at work where the service is spotty. I enabled WiFi calling and of course had internet because I was on WiFi. Went out for a ride later and when I was off WiFi I had no data. After many attempts for tech support to get it working I realized what was causing the issue. I came from Straight Talk Verizon BYOD on an iPhone 6. When I signed up on ST they had me install a profile for the data settings that I forgot all about. Pretty sure it forces the iPhone to use APN settings that connect to ST VZW servers. Once I uninstalled the profile my notifications started popping up and I was back online. Just thought I would share this in case anyone else brings an iPhone from a carrier that uses a profile for APN settings.

This here is the main reason why I think many people are disappointed with the Sprint service. While Sprint might not be the best it really isn't that bad. It's always useful for folks to make sure the device is properly set up for Sprint. First trick is to make sure you've got us capable device

For LG X-Charge, Xfinity M322 not approved ,only sprint model SP320 or unlocked/unbranded US601 approved.

Posts like this really crack me up. Sure there may be a handful of people that are green with you. But the 30,000 or more posts on here indicate that whatever you do do at least try to get this service. You will be surprised. Again make sure the device you're using is capable to be used on the Sprint network with the proper bands. If you've done all of that then yes maybe Sprint isn't for you. It does work in your area. Just like Verizon may not work in certain areas. Just like AT&T may not work in certain areas. Just like T-Mobile may not work in certain areas. If it doesn't work for you regardless of how much it cost free or not definitely wouldn't use the service

If I'm not mistaken the Verizon 6 is missing a Sprint band. While it works, the missing band might be a reason for spotty data.

And in fact the up to date list
https://community.sprint.com/t5/P...-p/1020211
(which is pointed to by the Wiki)
says:

X charge (US 601)

Unfortunately we have obsolete lists at the start of this thread.

I do agree but i found the service in the SFV in Ca to be brutal but at work in the Santa Monica area it worked great but gave up on the service after two months after the speeds at home were mostly 3g

That's possible but I literally had nothing no matter where I was because the APN was hijacked by the installed profile settings. I have another iPhone 6 on Sprint free and it had data in all the same parts of town. I'll tell you though when I tried it last year I could roam on Verizon to make calls and texts but data roaming was limited to 100mb and then I would be out of luck until I was back in Sprint service area. This year when I signed up the roaming agreements had changed and now it roams on Verizon LTE a lot and I get no roaming usage even when it says Extended in the status bar. So it's quite usable now with the changes. The loss of the 10gb hotspot was a bummer but the improvements in coverage via roaming changes was a great trade off. Also the WiFi calling is a great feature for us in the rural areas of Maine. No one used to even attempt to get on Sprint up here but things are improving all the time. Can't beat the price either.
