Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

The only way to avoid talking to Retentions is to port out.
After putting me on hold a bunch of times, trying desperately to keep me, even though I insisted I have no interest in retention offers, I just wish to cancel , she disconnects me, after about 30 minutes. They offered my Magic Sprint device, Sprint Drive etc.

Updated...
Had an H2o sim from before I started service . Was initially going to use them last year so order one for a penny to port in but ended up using T-Mo. Just used that sim, filled out form on H20 site and my number was ported out of Sprint and into this sim card in less than an hour. No need to deal with retentions!

For those of you who have free enjoy. For me I have Verizon Prepaid $50 plan stocked with discounted ebay refills , double data, rollover ends up being over 20gb. So $25 a month about , no tax , and yes , $20/mo more than Sprint but in So Fl , near Fed Hwy Sprint dont work well.

Did you also update the carrier settings after activating the IPhone XS on Sprint ? . I have already update iOS. But yet to update carrier settings, worried if the carrier settings would lock the phone to sprint ?
Couple of points of clarification: my phone is Apple unlocked XS I bought directly from Apple, so not locked to a specific carrier. For my phone, updating the carrier settings will not lock the phone to Sprint and tbh, I think that is the case for all unlocked phones in general.

The initial cities for the rollout are: 15 markets include Atlanta-Athens, Chicago, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas, Missouri, New York City, Oregon-West Washington, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, San Francisco Bay, South Bay, Southern Jersey, and Washington, D.C. For anyone curious, I did the 12.1.1 update to my iPhone 10S last night, which gives Sprint users VoLTE. Call quality is EXCELLENT and data during my calls is a blessing. For less than $4 a month, this is a great deal.
Are you sure you are getting Volte as I see the option of Voice and data for LTE but when I make any call the LTE just goes away. Btw I'm using iphone 10 and have update the phone to 12.1.1

What market are you in? I've tested it 100% (and confirmed wifi was off before someone asks laugh out loud). LTE stays on and surfing the web while fighting Spectrum on the phone to decrease my internet bill...

I'm in Springfield, MA and I have tested it but the LTE sign just goes away as soon as I make any call and loose internet access.

You are not in one of the initial roll-out markets...

Nice, really need to update my phone ASAP.
Any issues with 12.1.1? Always wait a bit before updating if I have no current issues.

No issues on my end (yet). There have been reports of data issues with all carriers but that percentage is around 3%.

My wife after a long time paying $80 for Sprint and a iPhone 7 plus (at least a year) she decided to swap to Consumer Cellular for 2 months (I'd suggest MINT mobile with the current deal https://www.mintmobile.com/produc...n-sim-kit/ with $10 CB ebate since its 5gb Tmobile and dirt cheap - $17 or something for 3 months). Of course she had to call them to unlock the phone for domestic use (UICC unlock) and wait a few days. After 2 months, she asked me to sign up her phone again for Sprint Free 1 year. Used her original credentials, said I had to call in because there was an issue processing the account (former customer). Called the 1 year free offer line and described the error. They were ready in about 10m to activate her phone on Sprint (but she tossed the SIM card, so we needed to buy one). They don't sell SIMs in the stores anymore and will only activate you on a plan (i.e. not free), so you need to use the website. After the phone call, we were able to login to the website, sign up like normal, and get the SIM delivered for like $3? to a local Walgreens in 2 days. She got the SIM, I put it in there, activated it all online. New terms under this plan "Unltd - Bring Your Phone:"

Unlimited BYOP 1/31/2020 Data, Text, and Talk
$5/line w/ $5 Autopay discount
From speaking with the Chat sprint rep, domestic roaming is still included *up to 800MB. She said GLOBAL data roaming is NOT included. No option to add a hotspot either.
Total bill monthly is $9.13 for 2 lines after tax. BTW, they added a $30 activation fee that I waived via chat in less than 5 minutes for the 1st line. You could wait 2 months for a bill credit but its just easier to chat and get it credited back.

Now for the 2nd line. Unlocked after 2 months (new phone resets Sprint lock, I was on Sprint a year) on Sprint BYOD 1 year plan (had to call to make a ticket and wait about a week). Ported to MINT. MINT was not ringing calls and going to voicemail on several occasions. So I cancelled in 5 days and got all but $5 shipping back from MINT from their 7 day guarantee. I called the Sprint BYOD 1 year phone number to add my line back to my wife's account. I used the same SIM that was on Sprint 1 week prior. I used the same phone. They had it ported back over in maybe 10 minutes. Full data was working in about 30 minutes after a reboot. Nice to have Sprint back! Just in all this porting have your account numbers, carriers, and port out pins ready.

Thanks for the info. Knowing my luck I'll be in that 3%, so I'll hold off for now since I don't particularly require volte but would've liked to test it out. Maybe when I'm not busy and need my data for a few days.

I called Sprint earlier, they checked the imei number and said they were eligible. I also checked online (per your suggestion) and it also said I am eligible.

I'm ready for step 2.

Thank you for helping me. I know it takes a lot of time. I appreciate it a great deal.
there is a step by step instruction sin wiki how to proceed.
u get a Gv #.
pay $3 to have it unlocked
pretty simple.

if u gonna do 2..u will need 2 GV #'s
if u only have 1 G account u can only have 1 GV number for free, the 2nd will cost $ (not sure how much)

I have searched the thread and haven't found an answer so I apologize if this is a repeat.
I saw people activate the Moto e5 play from Boost.
What about the Moto e5 play unlocked from Best Buy? It is not on the list of supported devices but I saw people successfully use the Boost Mobile version.

I need a phone around $100ish for my Mom.
Thanks!
