Made the switch from AT&T Prepaid today. So far so good in the NYC area, data fetching has been better, AT&T always seem to experience lag when loading content. Wi-Fi Calling became active on my S8 so this is the first time ever I have access to it (AT&T Prepaid did not support it). Kinda wish I still have Visual Voicemail. Apparently the Sprint app isn't available for unlocked S8 phones.

I'm curious how some people got the 50GB holiday hotspot. No option to add it in services though some people claim it is available even for the BYOD free year plan.

Overall the experience so far feels better than my Virgin Mobile days. Maybe the phone has something to do with it,
might want to check this https://slickdeals.net/f/12315172-psa-50-gb-hotspot-free-on-all-sprint-plans-through-holiday-season?v=1&src=SiteSearch

I have 10 gb hotspot but 50gb shows in my account details. Didn't do a thing and not sure exactly when it changed.

Seems like if you had the hotspot then you got the bonus. If not then you're SOL

The unbranded model lacks a few features but you can mostly add them back.

There is a Sprint Visual Voicemail app you can use in the Play Store.

Correct, the sim for the new iPhones is 416TQ or 516TQ.

BTW, the X is back in full production, not sure why. The XS is fine if your getting a screaming deal. I had the X but the XR and the XS Max or great with the bigger screens.
really..x is back? any eta on when in stores?

Already at the apple stores, best buy, friend just got one about a week ago. From experience I would avoid the X, 3 of us had terrible voice quality on 3 different X's as described here:

https://discussions.apple.com/thr...91?page=17

17 pages of grief, many more complaints worldwide, exactly why i would not recommend the X, go for the new 3

Yeah, older free plans with the hotspot are probably considered a different type of plan than the new ones now. From articles I'm reading, it seems to only extend to Unlimited Plus, Premium, Freedom, and Everything Data, and not to Basic or Kickstart plans. Oh well.

I see the app when I search the Play Store on my laptop but it doesn't show up when I search on my phone. On my laptop, it says the app isn't compatible with any phones I use. Strange restriction considering I hear the app works on unlocked S9 phones but not the S8.

Plus iPhone X does not support HPUE and related Sprint features. Meaning inferior performance in weak signal areas. And inferior VoLTE probably.

Oh so I see unfortunately.

It was an objective at one point.

You may eventually want to flash the branded ROM.

So where's the cheapest place to get an S9 for Sprint? I'm already on Sprint and don't want to touch my plan.

Others will know better than I do, but while waiting, just type S9 in the SlickDeals search box at the top of this page and you will see a bunch of S9 deals just in the past few days.

You can get any mainstream brand S9, such as Verizon S9 which can be unlocked instantly when paid off on many/most offers. Lots of people have been doing that. Any branded S9 now has full complete brand switching on any carrier sim insertion (once carrier unlocked).
