Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I updated from pixel 2 xl to pixel 3 and reused the same sim. It worked fine but took a while to update carrier settings on pixel 3
That is good that you got it working!

Now I would suggest switching to sim SIMOLW516TQ (or 416TQ) as that is the proper sim for Pixel 3 and you may need it for best VoLTE and performance and other special features in the future..

Did you try resetting the apn? Just google how to reset the apn settings. Or just do a phone reset.
I gave up and went back to verizon. what a nightmare. went to 2 different sprint stores and they told me to get a new phone.

The APN settings werent even there, it was like the sim wasnt working correctly,.

I apologize if this has been covered, but I looked for over an hour last night and another hour this morning. I'm trying to get my daughter set up on this. She's never had a cell phone before (she's 13). So obviously she doesn't have a number to port. I did the google voice thing and it gave me a number, but when I click on the link in the wiki to unlock the number, I get
"You do not have any phone numbers available to unlock for porting out.

Click here to learn more about unlocking your phone for port out."

Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

hello taraprather.
thanks for rep points...but was wondering if my suggestion actually worked for you?

I've read several pages of this thread but, haven't seen my particular case addressed. I'm currently part of a sprint family plan in which I'm not the account holder, how would I go about getting just my line on this deal?
Do I need to get my current phone un-locked and number ported to a new carrier or will sprint allow me to open a new account with the phone still being on sprint?
If I do have to port into a different carrier, what's the cheapest/quickest way to do this?

Two questions: Can you use both data and voice at the same time on their network with a sim or does data get cut off when using voice?

Does anyone know if this works with any of the blackberry phones that run android like the Key 1 and Key 2?

there is a step by step instruction sin wiki how to proceed.
u get a Gv #.
pay $3 to have it unlocked
pretty simple.

if u gonna do 2..u will need 2 GV #'s
if u only have 1 G account u can only have 1 GV number for free, the 2nd will cost $ (not sure how much)

It seemed to work! Thank you SO very much! I really appreciate all you help, time and kindness!!!

Hmmm..... I got it all set up and done with Sprint. Just starting the phone now and it says "Invalid Sim" on both the phones I switched over. Advice?

All fixed. Number hadn't ported over.

(1) Sprint is gradually rolling out VoLTE which supports this on iPhone 8 and above, Samsung S8, a few other phones, in certain areas for now (especially some big cities). Some people here have posted they have it working great.

(2) They are not on the list. It would have to be the Sprint specific version and even then it might not be a cake-walk. Some effort is often needed to get on Sprint phones that are not on the list. If you have specific IMEI's, check them in the checkers.

We would need all the details such as
- exact phone model and original carrier?
- are they unlocked?
- what/where/how did you get the needed sims and ideally what part numbers are they so we can check if they are the correct ones?
