Read the wiki. You must port in. and for any help with the iphone qualification, you need to list the exact model number.

Got my iPhone 6s unlocked from att, new battery put in by the apple store, apple gave me a free sprint SIM card. If I read the wiki correctly, I should call in, don't do it online, and get it activated asking for the year free?

Read the Wiki completely and carefully. I followed it last week and it worked! The only thing I would add is to run the Preferred Roaming List (PRL) Update after activation by entering "##873283#" on the dialpad. My phone wasn't recognized until this was updated.

Was that for an iPhone? The pound pound 87328 3 I'm talking about? There is a section about Android phones that is question number 9. If what you said is for iPhones I can certainly add that underneath question number 9

The customer service ppl did not know that my Iphone XR needed a specific sim card and had me running in circles. Thanks to the person responding to my comment. I went and read the post again and found that i had the wrong sim in the phone. After fixing the sim, my phone is now working properly.. Thanks slickdeals community!

Just a data point.

I had called in to Sprint to check whether I can purchase a device. The rep said she has/got a special code to apply for the device purchase (in full) so that I can keep my free plan. I didn't buy as they didn't have Moto Z2 force in stock. But they were willing to let go of shipping charge, activation fee, etc., if I had made the purchase.

Good to get confirmed!

It does refer to purchasing a phone on the plan page and people have done it so I figured it was possible.

The main issue is that Sprint has a ludicrously high restocking fee of $45 to return a phone, so I think in most cases people are best to buy elsewhere. Also, if people accidentally order the phone the wrong way (by just ordering it separately via another number or the web), they are hit by a $30 activation fee added to the sale price before even activating it. That can be credited against a plan activation fee, but on this plan the activation is waived anyway so there is nothing to credit it against and they would be out the $30.

Thank you in advance!!!!!
(edited)
It appears they use both Equifax and Experian.

I just swapped out my Moto G4 with ZTE MAX XL (N9560) on this BYOD plan. The phone is brand new out of the box. Seems fairly impressive so far. This was a Sprint version and not BOOST.
The specs seem lower than Moto X4. Do you find it better ?

Did you mean Moto G4? So far, I like it. It seems more responsive than Moto G4. The screen is huge. I don't know how I will deal with S8+ (6.2" compared to the 6.0 ZTE). Not sure why ZTE got so many bad reviews (may be earlier build quality issues?). It has fast charging and battery is a monster (4000mah). I have Sandisk 64GB microsd running as internal storage. So far so good. There are quite a few similarities with Moto G4.

My fiance signed up 4 months after me and when the 1yr free was over, her plan went to $30 unlimited everything and 50gb hotspot.

Mine didn't and I ported out to MIntMobile 6month intro offer. Gotta admit, I missed talk n surf

People have posted that it is Equifax and I believe that is correct.
Strange, we are in the SE USA and they pulled a report from Experian. Best to ask before unlocking, thats what we did.
