Four hours and counting since Port out request to h2o. I haven't turned on the new S8+ whose line I am porting out. Could this be an issue or causing delay in Port request? May be I should insert the SIm card and turn on the phone.

Any thoughts?
The number port process proceeds on its own but sure I would turn it on to watch for changes.

Quick question. Thinking of switching to Sprint from Verizon. I currently have 2 phones on Verizon that still have 15 months and 12 months of payments remaining. Can I still take advantage of this offer. Any recommendations?

No.

The phone could be completely out of range and the port would proceed.

How long before I confirm the port to T-Mobile is complete ?
Pretty simple really. When you lose the ability to call out, then you know it's been ported.

But the phone was never activated on the line? I just bought S8+ at Bestbuy.com last week on my paid Sprint acct. I got it yesterday, but I didn't open it / turn it on. It was a bit surprising that the phone didn't have the sim card pre-installed in the device. It was attached to the outside of the box. The new line showed up on my acct yesterday (same day as the phone delivery).

Today I am trying to port out. Whether the delay is due to phone being never activated on the network, etc. I don't know...just wondering and seeking input from others here.

Thx

Is it a brand new number?

If so, I suppose it might not really have been active yet on Sprint.

Do you want that particular number?

If not, you can just activate the phone on the new account, with some other ported-in number, provided the IMEI is not otherwise active on Sprint.

I would try some checkers to see if the IMEI appears to be currently active on Sprint..

Thanks. I just logged in to my Sprint acct. I don't see that line anymore. It seems it got ported, but didn't receive any notification from h20.

Thanks @rp100 for all your feedback.

Anyone else seeing apparent throttling at 10gb? Just signed up a few weeks ago.

Damn I just disabled Voice over LTE (calling plus) and speeds are normal again. Beware the beta service!

So i have an eligible iphone 6s whcih i signed up. I then swapped out to a phone whcih is not on the eligible list. I want to add a second line but how long would i have to wait to add another line using the iphone 6s. Anyone know? I'll probably also use it a 3rd time for another line. Thanks

You can use it right away, even same day, although they sometimes ask about it just to make sure that is what you mean to do and not some problem you are having.

However try adding your "ineligible phones" directly before going to all that trouble, even if they are rejected by the checker. They may actually go on fine. There are not really many phones that would actually work where you need to use this trick.

Based on what I'm reading, it looks like there is no way to add hotspot plan now. How does international roaming work? Can we still get free roaming data with this plan? Are we also able to purchase high speed roaming data for international traveling?

Yes to all of the above.

Actually you do not Add roaming, it is already built in.

As to high speed passes, you get prompted when you enter the country in question.

See https://www.sprint.com/en/shop/se...aming.html
for details.

Has anyone been able to activate a moto Z2 Force directly without having to swap into it?

The Sprint version would go on fine.

There really is not a problem adding recent Sprint phones even though they are not mentioned on the BYOD lists. You do not need to resort to swapping them on.

I that what you mean or are you thinking of a non-Sprint version?
