Ipad is on the latest list:
https://community.sprint.com/t5/P...P_dQTw_wcB
That list is a list that covers both the free BYOP plan and paid BYOD plans.

Tablets are eligible on paid BYOD plans and not eligible on the free BYOP plan. Well, you can add them but on a paid basis.

It is the best list to use because Sprint's main use of BYO is for paid plans, not this plan. So that is where they put the effort. But just ignore the tablets on it and it is the only useful list for this plan too. This free plan is not important enough to Sprint to have its own list that is maintained separately just to remove the tablets at every iteration. There is no separate list for the free plan any more. It was removed from the Sprint site entirely because it was always out of date.

Please don't beat dead horses too hard. Nobody has ever got a tablet on this plan for free and nobody is ever going to.

It works fine as we have discussed here many times - if you are technically oriented and use Android only for both devices, or Android + Windows.

I use it all the time. It is a little tricky to get it installed and non-technical users are typically not able to get it working.

I currently have Moto E4 Plus that I am using with sprint BYOD but I would like to swap it. I have two other phones, first one is an unlocked Moto E5 Play from Xfinity Mobile and the other is an unlocked iPhone 6S (a1688).

When I check the IMEIs at Sprint, i get "Sorry, but this phone can't be activated with Sprint service."

When I check IMEIs at TING I see that both phones are supported on GSM network and directs me to purchase GSM X1 SIM and not CDMA Z1X1 SIM pack.

Does that mean both phones are not compatible with Sprint?
Yes if Ting mentions only GSM, it is saying it is not CDMA compatible.

You can try the Tello checker to confirm that.

I tried Tello checker and get this message, "your phone is not Tello compatible."

I assume they are not CDMA phones.

Exactly right in general.

I called to sign up my new Galaxy S9 last night, Took about 30 mins total. Was approved for 10 lines, they kept asking me if I wanted to activate more lines. The port from a T-mobile MVNO took 15 minutes, so that was FAST! Asked me about the $15 ins, I just said no politely.

Now, the account looks all correct in the Sprint web page, however, it shows my account has a -$5.00 balance? Can this be correct? the account also if showing (2) $5 credits for the auto pay? I hope it is as that would offset my taxes. When will the account show how much my taxes will be ?

I can say that in the Ny/NJ metro area Sprint service is Excellent. Very fast, no issues and great on the S9. Thanks to everyone that has posted and has been so helpful on this thread!

My first bill was generated about a week after porting in. I also had the same double credits, but they were adjusted correctly on the first bill.

I have an LG Tribute HD on Sprint already and the phone says "Ineligible, this phone does not qualify for this offer" no matter the phone number I use. Is it possible that I can transfer out and back in and still use this phone?

Also if that's possible would anyone be interested in creating one of these plans for me so I have somewhere to transfer to, or letting me piggyback on someone else's plan who just signed up for the free year? Compensation provided. I use less than 10GB a month. Also is there a website where this is already discussed, like I would guess people have already thought of pooling together even if they aren't actually related I just don't know what to search for.

Damn I am unlucky. I transferred my number, everything was good. Then on my first bill they charged me the wrong plan, wrong date and everything. There is of course no usage on this plan either. After much "fixing" from them (through phone, chat, community forum), I can't view my plan or usage I was able to before. All I get to do on the dashboard/account is add a line or upgrade. They charged me for the "1BG Best Choice High Speed Shared plan" for a whopping $45. The date of charge was from Dec. 9 - Dec. 8 (2018 here, see anything wrong?) Usage is 0 on everything. My activation date was Dec. 10. I have chatted with them and screen captured everything, plus order, welcome email and everything waiting to contact my cc if they to charge me 79.35 on my first bill.

That's normal re that error message - phones already on Sprint are ineligible for this plan. Once it is off, it will be eligible. I a assuming it is on Sprint postpaid, not on an mvno. If it is on an mvno it will not be eligible without a lot of effort.

Have you read the discussions in the Wiki on the two ways to port out and back in to qualify?

You should be able to get refunds no problem. Sprint has a 14 day money back guarantee. You should qualify.

Personally I suggest people just port out immediately and start over in these mixups.

It is the only 100% reliable fix, takes no time, requires no approval, and is what I would do.

Then argue about refunds later.

You would have to get approval to sign up again, that's all.

That is absolutely true - it is not compatible at all.

You need to go back to the Apple store and get the appropriate sim - it has nothing to do with sim size. Different models require different sims on Sprint, unlike other carriers. It is the Apple store's fault - they should have given you the proper sim for your intended use.

You should not attempt device swaps until you have the proper sim for the new phone. If people keep trying to do it without the right sim, they are going to stop doing sim swaps so readily. I emphasize that every time I mention them and I know others do too.
I followed your advise and went back to apple store today, they did give me a free SIM card, just did the swap with the new sim and it went through smoothly, thanks!

Thanks. I have read the wiki. I thought maybe it would be easier/safer to piggyback on someone else's plan or if someone else created it for me without my SSN or personal information that Sprint already has, if that's possible.
