Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

Did any of you do the switch from sprint to T-Mobile today? The representatives keep wanting to charge me for prepaid services. I had no trouble last week when I ported over my other two lines

I just finished porting over on 12/24/18. And I just viewed my account details which shows:

Unlimited 55+ v2
Unlimited Talk, Text and Data.
Line 1: $55; Line 2: $25.
SD Streaming.
UNL 3G Mobile Hotspot.
International Text from US.
Sprint Global Roaming.
Eligible for $5 per line/per month AutoPay discount.

It doesnt specifically say its free with autopay or show an end date. Is this the correct plan that I should be seeing?
TIA
I had that problem as well. They put me on the 55 + plus plan. I had to keep calling until I got them to switch me over to the free plan.

hodaddy posted a good explanation of that offer.

However, on a tangent, I would suggest you check that you are really on the Free plan. I have not heard of anyone on this plan being pitched that offer. I would not have thought it would be available on this plan. Also you cannot be on this plan for the needed 24 months unless you convert over to a paid plan. I guess that might not stop them. It could be a goof by the Sales rep.

To check, look at Manage Plan / See Details on your DashBoard. Or look at the My Sprint app on the phone.
I noted that they try to up sell me this when I add lines to my account. They try to up sell you a bunch of stuff that pays off in 24 months. I guess to try to get you to pay the 60$ per month.

I do recall your posting that now.

I think you were the first one though specifically re Drive.

Maybe they are pitching it to everyone but most people are just not mentioning it. Or it is leaking over from other plans. The reps handle dozens of plans and sometimes get them mixed up..

I know this was mentioned a while back but is there ANY possible way to get previous RING PLUS phones somehow activated on this? I have so many just collecting dust. Is there any possible way to get the status of these phones changed to use on Sprint Postpaid? They are all LG Sprint branded pre-paid phones from what I recall. Thanks!

After being read all the byod unlimited free info I was signed up. I was charged tax but then a few days later a $65 bill was put on my account and the wrong plan is listed. I called and was told it would be 72 hours to research the problem. What the heck?

Worked for me. Set up two Tmobile iPhone 6s pluses I had available for my father and son. They were sneaky and put on their "protection" plan after I stated no multiple times. Called back 3 times to ensure it was taken off. They route you to asurion to have it removed. Received first bill for 5 dollars. Do remember to set up autopay, or else promotion will not work. You can set this up yourself via their site. Outside of that I went to the apple store and they gave me two free brand new SIM cards for sprint. The receipt literally says 0 dollars so it is how their system is set up. For the ported numbers I paid google a few bucks and made two google voice numbers to use. Ported the numbers 24 hours before getting SIM cards and calling sprint to be on the safe side. Service has actually been excellent in my area. Connecticut/New York.

This is getting ridiculous. It's time to start taking names and kicking a**.

I would contact [email protected] (Sprint Senior VP Marci Carris) Include the details you listed in your post. She can take care of getting you on the correct plan. She has done this for others. Usually in a day.

As Comintel has noted in an earlier post:

You will have to get it flipped to use it on postpaid (PLBL to SPCS).

You can see if TeleSales will do it or otherwise post in Sprint Community Forum and they will do it (find any reasonable thread there or start a new one and they will get back to you privately, normally inside a working day now). LiterallyUnlimited is now too busy to do these anymore unless you were a Ting customer.

Why don't you do it online? I've done that 3 times without a hitch. Charged $3 + tax for the PayGo plan, get the account number at the confirmation screen (without having to ask a rep), set your own pin during sign-up, and the port out takes less than 15 minutes usually.

You need to go in store and create a new paid line and pay off device and port out within 3 days. Then you can use the phone on the free plan.

Yes and that will work with some trouble but usually only if the phones were postpaid models originally. If they were prepaid models, they were never really supposed to go on Ring Plus in the first place, but got on through a series of loopholes at the time. These were the LG Volts, LG Tribute HD's etc. I still have some of each. These got grandfathered for use on other MVNO's but are not grandfathered for use on Postpaid.

Just for the heck of it, try the IMEI's in a couple of Sprint checkers if the phone is not currently on any mvno.

If you get back an error including the words "you owe Sprint," that would actually be good news because it would mean the only problem may be the mvno flag/ PLBL/ SPCS issue, which has the remedy hodaddy mentions.

If it comes back "take to store", you could still contact community.sprint.com or go to a CORPORATE store only and let us know what happens. I would not hold out much hope but you never know. Go to a store only if you are extremely savvy because there is quite a liklihood they will try to put it on a paid plan and possibly inadvertently turn any free plan you have into a paid plan.

In general, I do not comment on these as much as because it tends to lead to long dialogues and in the end the person says they cannot be bothered because it is too much trouble.
