Guess they are finally valuing their service quality at zero dollars!! Having unfortunate experience of being a sprint customer, I wholeheartedly concur with the valuation of their service.

Hi! I have ten specific questions that only pertain to my individual circumstances. I epitomize laziness and my sense of entitlement is impervious to reason. Therefore it is the responsibility of anyone and everyone who reads this to find the answers to my questions.

I bought two Boost prepaid sim kits and called in to port over. Pack cost $10 which I don't mind with all the money I am saving. It comes with 3 different SIM cards but one only worked for the two iPhone 7's I have. Waiting to unlock my XS Max so I can bring my line over.

Thanks for all the help on this thread!!! I was able to get two lines over for the free year with no issues.
The Boost kit is out of date and does not cover newer phones such as the XS..

The Sprint 4-in-one universal kit covers all phones and is cheaper too, only $2.99 at any Sprint CORPORATE-OWNED ONLY store.

Sims are free for iPhones at most Apple stores.

when is this deal over?
It's probably over when the merger with T-Mobile is approved (or denied). I'm guessing Sprint is trying to get as many subscribers to their network as they can.

I hope it's denied. More competition is better.

When I called, they told me they were out of SIM cards and basically told me to just go to Best Buy to get one...
You probably called a franchise Sprint store which is a bad place to buy sims. They do not want to bother with them.

Sims are in stock and only $2.99 at Corporate Sprint stores.

How do I add a line to my existing plan online? I already have 2 lines under this promotion. When I proceed to the page where it asks to select a plan , some other plans come up.

I did start off by clicking "add a line to the plan". What am i doing wrong?

I ported a line out of tello and into the gsm carrier freeup. Can I reuse the tello sim card to add a second line with this byod plan?

Also does the second line have the same device requirements?

You have to call the wiki number if you want the new line to be on the free plan.

Yes, you can use the same sprint sim you used for tello. Same byod device requirements for subsequent lines.

Yes you can reuse the Tello sim (which is just a Sprint sim) for the same phone. (But for other phone models there are specific sims required, not just any sim - see Wiki for a chart).

Yes the second line requires porting in a number with a compatible phone.

Evidently the rep thought you agreed to a different plan. Were you clear you wanted the FREE plan? What did you agree to at the end of the call?

Did you say "FREE One year BYOD plan" or just "BYOD plan"? There are paid BYOD plans too. What terms and conditions did they read to you that you agreed to and that they recorded?

People keep saying that the number ending in 8777 is a dedicated line for this plan or a "BYOD line" and it is NOT! It handles many plans.

Everyone approaches these as if they are Sprint's fault but is this entirely the case? Do people have any proof they specifically ordered the FREE plan. Just because they wanted the free plan is not enough unless they asked for it as well. They have a recording of what you agreed to.

I say these things not to be intentionally rude, but to point out what you may be up against. When they say they'll "investigate," what they investigate is first of all what you were recorded as agreeing to. You do not mention what that was in your post.

This is a disastrous situation and they typically stall if you call regular support numbers.

Fortunately, you can either port out now and ask for your money back under the Sprint 14 day money-back satisfaction guarantee, or email senior Sprint VP Marci Carris [email protected] and ask her to intervene. She has done so for many people.

I would contact [email protected] (Sprint Senior VP Marci Carris) Include the details you listed in your post. She can take care of getting you on the correct plan. She has done this for others. Usually in a day.
thank you!!! I will try reaching out to that point of contact.

Hello all,

Successfully switched four Samsung Galaxy S8+ devices from T-Mobile! Saving lots of money! Speed is pretty good in northern VA area. I am thinking about getting another one. Any recommendation for an inexpensive device? Which carrier should I open with first and then port? Thanks to you all!

I have one issue though. One S8+ phone doesn't even have an option to turn VoLTE on and off. Other three S8+ phones have no issue. I re-activated it many times according to the tech support but, no change. I noticed the phone that is having the issue has a different Service Provider SW version installed after it was activated with Sprint compared to the other three phones. I have a ticket opened with Sprint but no progress. Did anybody experience the same problem?
How fast are the speads in NoVA? I'm also up here and debating switching from Verizon. Do you notice congestion speeds?
